I activated my Titan Nova shield when another player punched me off the map into the water. Yet before I gave up I pressed R1 to attempt to land back on the edge. As I zoom towards it, I noticed I wasn't going to make it...But suddenly my Titan grabbed the ledge determined not to give up. He pulled himself up and I then slammed my shield into the guardians face who nocked me off. Who here has noticed and loves #Ledgegrabbing in D2! (Side note, if yall need a group, please join ForeverWeStand. Clan number is 7583, thank you!

I got used to using this and then slammed right into the side of a wall and fell to my death on a Destiny 1 stream.

If only we had unlocked the "Climb Ladder" ability. Then we could scale the Barn - Hanger and that other ladder too. And then we could get an Exotic Ladder and when danger threatens we could climb out of harms way. On the serious side, I like the mantling ability. I just hope that the barriers, 4 second kill walls and insta kill walls don't prevent us from actually using it.

The strike boss tried to push me far away out of bounds but I dont back doin the same thing I like it .last ditch effort to save yourself

but woefully inconsistent. maybe I just haven't got a feel for it yet.

Instructions not clear, became Fallen.

Edited by Haunter: 7/21/2017 10:17:13 PMDislike ledge grabbing. If you made a bad jump you should pay for it Edit: I'm getting tired of replying the same things to different people. Heres my take: Ledge jumping pretty much is only useful for when one fails a jump and barley snags the wall and makes it. Unless there are some jumps in D2 that require this it is lowering the skill gap and learning curve, something I and others like to be high (think halo or cs). Imo if you fail a jump you learn from the mistake until you get it. You can prefer it this way, and obviously this is how it's staying but my opinion remains we were fine without it. The only reason I can think of they adding this for is to make jumping puzzles easier. Some applaud that, I personally don't. Who's fault is it when one misses a jump after all?

I've fall of the map so many times next to the ledge and my Guardian won't grab it. Just like real life....
-
Good feature, but it should be disabled in PvP for obvious reasons. Gotten me killed a handful of times.
-
Yeah this was deffo a good new feature for the game, ever since Halo 5 put 'clambering' into mainstream FPS use, I'm all for it.
-
If they made it work like it does in Halo 5, we'd be golden
-
I love the ledge grabbing. We Doom now, boys.
-
They had to give up support for last generation consoles to put ledge grabbing in :D
-
I love it but sometimes it doesn't work... maybe it needs a little tuning?? Great feature though.

Edited by AZURPHOENIX999: 7/22/2017 1:00:34 AMQuick response to all the idiots saying "learn 2 jump n00bs": We have arms, arms have hands, hands have fingers, fingers let us grab shit. If our feet were a few centimeters too low for a ledge we tried to jump on in real life, we wouldn't remain stiff as a board and voluntarily fall to our deaths like a complete dumbass. We'd use our goddamn arms for what they're literally supposed to be for. Saying we shouldn't be able to grab ledges we fall just short of is like saying we shouldn't be able to crouch to get through tight spaces. It's something that the average human is 100% capable of doing IRL, the devs are perfectly capable of putting it in the game and willing to do so, it's something 90% of the players want...there is literally no reason at all that we shouldn't be allowed to have this ability, and those who insist that there is are stupid as hell.
-
Not to be confused with boob-grabbing, which is ok with the owners permission and certainly should not be automatic like ledge-grabbing. Be careful guardians.
-
I love it, if only we could shoot while doing so
-
When this is the best thing you can say about a game, that game is in trouble lol
-
I liked it back in the day, if we sucked at jumping, we would die. And start the level all over again. It was boring and frustrating, but we liked it. :p
-
Ledge grabbing is so dope. Small change but very useful.
-
I like it
-
It's a cool addition for sure.
-
The first time it happened I cried a little. A feature that no one asked for yet made my heart soar
-
Awesome feature.
