I don't want cross play with pc, I want it with ps. Console crossplay makes sense.....so I see why Sony wants no part of this.

As opposed to losing players cuz they wanna play with friends on Xbox. Cross play would mean ps players can stay happy on their console and still play with friends. Then again, someone posted a Sony statement about online gaming in general. Sony stated that less then half of the ps4 sold have the ps+ service. Maybe they feel their base isn't that interested because of this. Idk, I just think it's a mistake by Sony.

Microsoft only ever has about 1/2 the Xbox population on Xbox live gold. For many people, it is a lot of extra money to ask on top the price of games, and some folks just don't want to deal with networking their console. But I digress. Sony sees its 2 to 1 lead as a good reason for consumers to choose a PS4. If 2 out of 3 friends have a PS4 [i]and [/i]you go where your friends go, you want a PS4. Cross play would harm that competitive advantage.
