Nope.
Had a PS3 during the last gen, and it was garbage. Made the red ring on the 360 look like a mild inconvenience.
I have watched my brother go through 2 PS4's and 1 PS4 Pro with Sony's customer service being utterly garbage. I am going to stick with the superior hardware of the One X when it comes out, and steer clear of anything Sony related in regards to gaming.

I agree. I've had 3 ps2 die, 2 PS3's die and 1 PS4 die. All under a year old and none of them would Sony replace. I had 1 360 red ring and Microsoft replaced it with a brand new unit. One good note in my Sony history is I still have 2 working modded PS1s. lol

I've told you a million times not to exaggerate. Xbox's are certainly not more reliable that's for sure. And in my experience sonys customer service is fine.

Edited by Darth Lunchbox: 6/20/2017 8:59:45 PMYou've had some bad luck or I've had really good luck. I still have the original big block PS4 and the original PS3, never had a problem with them.

I literally throw my ps4 and never had a problem. What do you do to your ps?
-
Edited by Prof Sheitbag: 6/20/2017 7:15:57 PMI had a PS3, and even shutting it down the "appropriate way" usually netted the system claiming I shut down incorrectly, and a diagnostic check was required. After 3 hours of waiting for that to get down, one or more of my saved games was usually corrupted. My brother has had the PS4's. I do not live with him, so I can not say for certain what he has done, but considering he is not an idiot I doubt he is throwing them. He got a Day 1 PS4, and after a week of using it he was watching something and it started to smoke. Sent it to Sony for a repair, and 2 months later they told him it was no good, and they offered him a refund of $250, which was $200 less what he paid for it. When he demanded the full refund, they gave him the run around for a while until he caved and just took the $250. Then, like someone in an abusive relationship he went back to the PS4, only to have the disc drive fail a month after purchase (new, not refurb). Went through the same hassle with Sony. After that he was using my old 360 (7 years old and still worked like a champ). Then he bought a Pro thinking "Hey, all the kinks are worked out. Should be fine." He was playing Battlefield 1 when it locked up. Shut it all down, and the video output was shot. Sent it back to Sony, and they claimed it was not under warrantee. Now he has a One S and no complaints. And I am still on my Day One Xbox One with no complaints.

100% utter bullshit right there. And this is a prime example of why the Xbox will ALWAYS AND FOREVER be referred to as the Tween Box.
-
Never heard the tween box. I always heard sony stations were for jailbirds tho. Not that I care.
-
Ya, only a tween could come up with that lol
-
Got me!
-
Yes - events that you can not immediately substantiate are automatically "100% utter bullshit". Let me guess? Evolution is a myth, climate change is a Chinese hoax, and the moon landing was also fake. I'm a close?
-
So, thanks for confirming you're a liar. lol.
-
This is bs. If your brother got a pro and week later it started to smoke, sony would send him a refurbished one because its under warranty and would not try to fix his system. Sony never fixes your system when it has a warranty
-
They claimed he voided the warrantee because they thought he dismantle the system to try and fix it himself, which he stated he didn't. And it wasn't a Pro that started smoking - that is the one that the video output crapped out. The Day 1 PS4 he bought was the one that basically fried.
-
My day one PS4 had its ram fail. They too wouldn't honor the warranty claiming that I had opened it up...
-
Maybe he didn't get the warranty
-
As standard everything has a 12 month manufacturer warranty
