Are you good at every game you play?
Something I've realised recently is that I play a big variety of games, Card Games like hearthstone, fps and mmos for example. It seems like I can play any type of game and become very good at it even top tier whilst I see others who maybe put in more time or only play one game specifically and aren't the best at it.
I was wondering if there's anyone else like this and if it's some sort of mindset? Adapting and processing information quickly perhaps. I couldn't find anything on the internet.
P.S I'm 19, I've played games since I was about 6 or 7.

I went from being shit at first person shooters to going 20-3 in the last game I played. So no, I earned my skill in every game I play.

I've been GE and won 2 local LANs for CSGO, but I still think of myself as shit.

Nonchalant self back patting. I play a wide variety of games and am generrally decent in all of them. Except fighting games. I kinda suck at those.

I am definitely not good at every game I play right away. There are a good amount of games I was good at right away, but most games it takes me a bit to get good at. There are even some games that I can never get any better at. [spoiler]Curse you Luigi's mansion. [/spoiler]

Nope. I'm at best above average at games, with some outliar matches that keep me playing.

I like to think I'm pretty good at every game I play. It takes time for me to be decent at some genres like fighting games. I can pull great games in R6S, overwatch I was a top 500 player on reaper, was too 2000 in halo 3/5 and destiny I was top 1000. I do enjoy playing fighting games as my buddy plays them and I gotta be better than him lol. I do play RPGs but i learn slowly how to play them so it gets frustrating. I started off playing sports games so they are pretty easy for me to pick up and beat people. Playing sports in high school makes me have an edge on other people.

I'm at least average at the games I play regularly. The only game that I suck at that I play a lot is battlefield (albeit I haven't touched it in well over a year). If you aren't decent you probably don't have a lot of fun I would imagine. There are some games that I'm good at like halo. Then some games im great at like titanfall. And then there's some games that I'm am a God in like assassins creed multiplayer (please come back in empire). I used to be so good at the game that I basically scared off all my friends from ever playing it with me.

I am good at the games I play, because if I'm not good at a game, that usually means I didn't have fun, so I stop playing it.

I'm incredibly unskilled at almost any game I play. Exception for titanfall 2 and overwatch to a lesser degree

When I was younger, maybe. I used to be proficient in just about anything I did. These days, not so much. I lose motivation too easily.

Eh. I only play a few competitive games where I can measure myself against other players and I'm about above average to pretty good. In any individual game I can usually get top/near top of the scoreboard or MVP or whatever, but overall there are much better players than me out there.

I quit the game I found Bloodborne a good example of this. I started off very bad doing stupid things until one day I decided to try something I hated doing: parrying and it changed my experience with the game and I soon became an expert at the game.
