8 months pregnant? I think you outta check out facts rather than pro life propaganda next time.

Nine states and the district of Columbia have no time limit at all.

You already replied to my post once. Stop trying to bump your garbage flamebait post. You're just another opinionated asshat, shoving your opinion down other peoples throats. Don't like abortion? Don't have one. Other people's lives? Not your business and don't affect you.
-
Again, for the millionth time. You can get it done.
-
Hmm, I think I'mma change my opinion over one opinionated ignorant guy spouting bullshit on the Internet about extreme cases that cause late term abortion. You should focus more on your school work than regurgitating mommy and daddys opinions on here, I hate to see my tax dollars even more wasted.
-
You can get late term abortion without a medical emergency. This is a fact.
-
Again, for the millionth time. You can get it done.
You can but it's usually done because of complications during the pregnancy.

Again, for the millionth time. You can get it done.
You can but it's usually done because of complications during the pregnancy.
Just to add to my other comment, it doesn't have to be a medical emergency though

Again, for the millionth time. You can get it done.
You can but it's usually done because of complications during the pregnancy.

usually
Usually, as opposed to "always". You even admit it happens sometimes then get all pissy with me like "no that doesn't happen"
-
But it doesn't have to be, and that's the point. I didn't say anything like "most abortions happen at 8 months" or, "yeah it happens all the time". Only that "it doesn't matter if you're 8 months along". It doesn't. there is no federal law saying it's too late to have an abortion after x time. If your state does have a limit you can simply travel to one that doesn't. Problem solved

-
"it doesn't happen that often so I can say it doesn't ever ever happen! "You're avoiding reality"
Really? Is that what you're presenting me with?
-
It does happen.
-
It does technically happen
-
-
Yeah, it does.
-
It doesn't. Just stop.

Edited by wowchild18: 6/1/2017 7:24:46 AMThat in no way proves you can get a late term abortion just because you don't want a baby anymore. Fairly certain those are reserved for emergencies.
That in no way proves you can get a late term abortion just because you don't want a baby anymore. Fairly certain those are reserved for emergencies.
And you are wrong. I said "no time limit". It doesn't have to be an emergency. And, here is a link to an abortion clinic in Colorado saying they have a 4 day outpatient procedure for patients seeking an abortion after 26 weeks. Yes, the link is going to point out that abortions that late are "almost always" because of serious complications, but it doesn't say that it has to be. Let's recap a few things: I'm not saying that abortions that late are common, I'm saying they are allowed. A couple people in this thread have wanted to argue about how common it is. That's not the point, I take issue with the fact that it's allowed for non medical emergency reasons at all. https://my.dudamobile.com/site/drhern/default?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.drhern.com%2Fen%2Fabortion-services%2Fthird-trimester-abortion.html&preview=true&nee=true&showOriginal=true&dm_checkSync=1&dm_try_mode=true#2953 Also: Arkansas bans abortion after 12 weeks, but there is an exception for life of the mother. I am not sure how many states have exceptions built into their "time limits"

Edited by wowchild18: 6/1/2017 8:20:51 AMYou are still acting as though people are going in for late term abortions for no reason. That link you posted is pretty clear on who is getting these abortions.
Patients coming in for very late abortion - over 26 menstrual weeks' gestation - are almost always seeking services for termination of a desired pregnancy that has developed serious complications. This usually means the discovery of a catastrophic fetal anomaly or genetic disorder that guarantees death, suffering, or serious disability for the baby that would be delivered if the pregnancy were to continue to term. Occasionally a woman presents at this stage for pregnancy termination because of her own severe medical illness or a psychiatric indication.
It's almost always due to pregnancy complications (aka the baby has a serious issue). The remainder according to the paragraph above are women who are seriously ill or are mentally unfit. Go talk to an actual doctor at one of those clinics and see if they will let you terminate a pregnancy at that stage "just cause you feel like it". I guarantee they won't without forcing you to talk to a psychologist beforehand. The only reason they've removed the time restrictions completely is so ideologues like yourself can't find a way to bring criminal charges against a women for abortion, especially medically necessary procedures.
-
Also, I'm not "acting like people are getting seriously late abortions for no reason".. I'm acting like it's legal to get abortions for no reason and how far along you are doesn't really matter if you are willing to travel.
-
Again, just because it's legal doesn't mean it is happening. The legality merely prevents the prosecution of women by religious and "morally righteous" shitheads (like yourself).

I tried to point that out to you...

The last sentence is meant to cover the remainder. I realise it's hard for you to understand these things, being American and all, but please try.
