I think it might be the battle of six fronts. But what I find more interesting is that zalvala is using what looks like a colt m4 carbine the same auto rifle that is seen in the opening video for destiny

Did notice the rifle, but it's definitely not an M4. I know I'm being super picky, so I apologize. The fact is though these rifles used by the team that went to Mars would have had to be specially designed to operate in the Martian atmosphere. Temperature/atmospheric pressure would change how the weapon is able to cycle. Not to mention the gun powder wouldn't burn the same way in the atmosphere on Mars as it does on Earth. Again super picky and I'm sure you just meant the overall appearance of the rifle. Still due to these details I'd actually like a bit of history on what modern man did to make a weapon that could work on Mars in preparation for the journey.

  • Not true. Gun powder does not require an atmosphere to work. It is entirely self contained. This was done on mythbusters.

I find it concerning that you believe what you see on myth busters. They're methods are actually pretty shoddy. For instance they made a scale replica of a ship and put it into a pool to see if it would drag down objects near it. Results aside they failed to account for the difference in fluid viscosity to account for the change in scale. This is a basic fluid dynamics principle that anyone that does work with liquids, gases, etc would know to take into account when scaling down a large object/system. Never believed their results on much of anything since then.

  • Ok. But in any case a gas operated weapon will fire in a vacuum or in a near vacuum as the chemicals in the primer and fuel (gunpowder) do not require any additional oxidizer to operate and are wholly self contained. A weapon will fire in any atmosphere. Mythbusters aside... it's just the way it is.

  • Entirely possible. I would expect some issues to arise though. Whether that means the firearm doesn't operate as expected or a complete mechanical failure, I stand by the statement that the weapons carried by the 3 man team on Mars were specially designed to accompany that mission. But we're getting off on a tangent. What we should be discussing is the video where Zavala kicks but during Twilight Gap while using the rifle in question. Not because of Zavala, we knew he was a badass. Have you looked at Shaxx behind him? He straight knocks a Vandal out barehanded. He's not even carrying a weapon. Just going first to cuffs.

None of the titan orders gave any ground in the battle of the six fronts( remember the line "4 titan orders held six fronts")That more than likely the battle of twilight gap as that battle is definitely known for fallen needing to be pushed back from the city's walls. The grimoire card city age 2 states that a district of the city had been abandoned since twilight gap hinting something happened inside the city in that district during the fight

  • Wrong. The cinematic shows them building the walls AFTER that fight. So Six Fronts, not Twilight Gap.

For the battle of the six fronts the grimoire never states who the enemy was, everyone just assumes it was the fallen but it could have very well been one of the corrupt warlords that the iron lords hadn't deposed yet. It's also known via the grimoire that the iron lords helped build the wall. During twilight gap the fallen actually breached the wall because Shaxx, Saladin, Saint-14 had to lead a counterattack to push them back outside the city walls. We know this because the vanguard learned they had to be pro-active against enemy threats to prevent that kind of near disaster from happening again. P.s. This is why I never liked the grimoire format, because for things like the destiny universe timeline they are never straight forward

  • I suspect it may be neither event then. The cinematic's purpose may have been to illustrate the need to build defensive walls. Prior to the attack, it looks like it was a settlement similar to the Farm. Also, there were outposts on the edges of the City borders and outside the walls. Reference : Frontier grimoire card under crucible arenas section.

  • Their very own lore states otherwise so no their video is wrong. City age grimoire cards list an order of events and in order that card says when the first wall was raised, or when the titans defended the city at the battle of the six fronts. Their own cinematic is incorrect as their written lore(which was written long before the vid) contradicts it.
