I am a casual player who never does sweats, cause well I'm casual. Not sure if I will be playing pvp in D2? I'm pretty sure I won't play it as much.
-
I think it'll be more relaxed in general with 4. I feel like in 6v6 no matter how good you are you're always gonna end up with enemies coming at you from every which direction and it's a bit much for me it. 4v4 gives a bit more room for decision making and controlling the map.
-
My only problem with it is I would normally go in with my fireteam just to goof around and kill things. Now, 2 of us will be left out. Kind of sucks.
-
There will be fewer enemies to shoot at. I'm with you. How is that more fun than 6v6? One guy gets a triple kill and the rest are hunting for the last guy alive. 3v3 was fun sometimes, but we need big team games like 12v12 in Halo.
-
I love 6s, but as long as the game has no SBMM and they go full CBMM, it wont be that bad.
-
It will depend on how the other modes play, if there are a set number of power boxes and a coordinating group can dominate their spawns then it's gonna be rip, but I'll just try and find a few good players to play with and play that way. I'm only interested in d2 pvp, the story so far is trash and I just don't enjoy the pve aspect aside from the raids.
-
I can't wait!! 6v6 is total donkey poop, so 4v4 is going to b amazing! It's both competitive and casual. Honestly, the best of both worlds.
-
Bump!
-
At this point it's not looking all that good for the casual PVP goer. It looks like they are trading in FUN for balance and competitive gaming. I definitely won't be playing as much if there's no 6v6.
-
Well it basically means that unless the pve is huge and released periodically then a lot people will leave sooner than D1. Sweaty 4 v 4 will turn a lot people off.
-
Destiny 2 will be the end for Solo Q players like me. You will just get owned by full fireteams and their teamshot and power ammo control. Time to move on (after 1000+) hours...
-
There are good and bad points to 4v4. Countdown has the potential to be another sweaty match type like 3v3 has become. As for the 6v6 match types, the change to 4v4 might be positive or negative. Ideally, skill types would be matched better than now due to less variation in the composition of teams. But there is potential for a match to go badly. If one player leaves, this might influence remaining team members to quit, as sometimes happens in 3v3 and 2v2. And what happens when a fireteam of 3 or 4 is matched against randoms? The randoms may interpret this as a no-win situation, something that occurs now when they are matched against fireteams of 5 or 6 enemies. We just have to wait and see what happens. After the beta becomes available we will have a better understanding of the impact this change has on Destiny.

Edited by Kopi_Snipes96: 5/29/2017 3:04:00 PMI think as long as people communicate with their mics or they have a way to keep the fireteams away from solo players. It will work fine I don't think it will be too different in the actually gameplay(sure it is easier for people to create the smaller fireteam). The problem is that all of the casual solo players are getting scared away because now that it is easier for people to make fireteams, they think everybody is going to make one. I will keep playing PvP as a solo(unless I have friends that want to play) player
-
It will be back in the eventual DLC...my guess
-
Y'know I had a dream where I played it No shit, my dream impressions of it were, it was a lot more comparable to the tense pacing of ideal Trials- that is, not full of Icebreakers. That it felt a little more like Trials should be, like you're always in the game, always contributing.
-
I'm looking forward to the change of pace.
-
It'll be less chaotic but it'll feel kinda empty
-
Depending on if IB is featured in D2, my PvP experience will be limited. Trials I don't really bother much with, and regular Crucible only holds my attention for so long. D2 my focus will be PvE and getting the the point where me and my group are doing raids an raid carries for those that want to get through them.
-
Unless the maps are super small to get the feeling of spawning into action, I don't think ill have much fun, so ill probably only get the daily marks or whatever and go back to pve.
-
It's easier to make a team of 4 than of 6. So more people will, which will necessitate having your own team or getting stomped. Expect to play against more teams.
-
Play battlefield than.
-
If anything what it's done is give them a reason to set up 2 snipers as soon as they can and just being obnoxious about it.
-
Instead of lowering it, why didn't they raid e the amount of players?! 10v10? 12v12? More?
-
I'm glad to see 4v4. I'm an average player but alot of times if I'm not playing well my team gets stomped. I have the ability to play well above what my stats suggest so playing against 4 instead of 6 will make my job easier.
-
Sounds like Destiny is your first FPS and you've never played Halo 4v4 games.
-
As long as I can continue t-bagging, 4v4 doesn't bother me one bit. A good campaign and in-game storyline will will determine if I purchase D2 or not.
-
Hey iron banner might be 6v6. If they still have it! 4v4 might be ok if there is little lag.
