Did you pre-order from Sony or the Xbox marketplace? If yes, you don't need a key. You have access to beta.
If you pre ordered through a shop, check your receipt or contact the website you bought it from.

I ordered it off of the Xbox marketplace, I even called Xbox but they didn't know what to do either.

Is it full price to pre-order on the system? I've only ever done them in store

Xbox pre-order is full price. I don't know about PlayStation. In my store I paid £10 to pre-order it.
