For Nightstalker, if you are close to an enemy you melee them instead of use a smoke grenade. If I am jumping around at almost no health and chuck a smoke at my feet to turn invisible, I don't want to melee the enemy below me and die. The smoke should be the primary response of melee instead of bypassing it for an up close melee. I've died countless times due to this.
P.S. In this scenario the smoke would make me invisible, saving me.

I feel like it's opposite for me, instead of meleeing my enemy my hunter wants to throw the smoke instead when I'm in make out range, very frustrating

I run into this problem often. There have been times when I want to run in and throw my wombo combo inside of a enemy's bubble and end up stabbing the enemy instead because of their proximity to me and I end up getting killed in return. It sucks when a plan falls apart because of technical mechanics. 😞
