Hello,
It sounds like you accidentally performed the linking process backwards and orphaned your original Bungie.net account.
You most likely created a new Bungie.net account with you Playstation account, and then linked your Xbox account to that new Bungie account. This unlinked your Xbox account from your original Bungie.net account and caused it to be orphaned.
