Ban the Farmers/Cheaters, please?

Foreword: If you have anything negative to say in regards to this post, save it. I don't care. You'd literally be wasting your time. Not mine. Hello! Name's Corey. Some may know be my by PSN as Mr_Corey_Jay. But you'll forget either way, 'cause, I mean, who am I? Right? So it's apparent that people are truly disrupting the spirit and competition of PvP, more specifically Trials of Osiris, becoming notoriously known as "Elo Farmers." They will hop in matchmaking, queue up with a team, and check their stats. If they are "bad" the farmers go in and kick their teeth in. If their opponents are "good", they will disconnect from servers, maintaining their K/D and keep looking for bad players. This is extremely annoying, and the fact that the outsourced leaderboards and stat tracking systems recognize these individuals for being "Top .1%", as if they were actually that good is demoralizing. These players are abusing a bug in the game to work the system, and make themselves look good for publicity and notoriety. And it's our job to expose these players help them get what they truly deserve. A -blam!-ing ban. I'm not trying to complain, only expressing my concern for this issue because I keep seeing more people like this every weekend. So please, can we make something happen with these individuals? I've taken the liberty of posting links to two teams I know of who continuously stomp on less capable players and quit against competitive players every weekend. TL;DR: Ban the cheating Elo Farmers. For the love of all that is.. well, could be, kinda-sorta good with this game mode. They are a -blam!-ing cancer to this community. [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Ninja Edit
I've taken the liberty of removing the gaming account names of the person(s) who you stated were cheating. Click here for more information

Okay from the get go, Trials is suppose to be this amazing MLG style weekend event that gets all the fat, sweaty nerds to hope on and neglect the sunshine for the remainder of the weekend. Me personal this is all opinion based so get butt hurt I do not care. Trails is toxic and needs to be fixed, The matchmaking for Destiny is -blam!-ing bad it makes COD titles look amazing. Every weekend I hope on LFG and hunt a team to do bounties. However 9/10 games we are paired with players who have 100+ Flawless runs that's not okay, Half of them don't even have good connection 90% of the player base in trials have shitty ass connection. Bungie is terrible at matchmaking I'm surprised they're still allowed to make Multiplayer shooters in all honesty. Halo series is full of terrible connection errors half of your time spent on Halo or Destiny is just trying to get online in the first place, Trials is terrible and full of bad connections and cheaters. I keep seeing "Bungie doesn't like cheaters" Terrible connection is a form of cheaters. Bungie if I wear to rob your studios and you have no proof I did it besides me saying it, Is it really a robbery? (I wouldn't rob them) But as an Example thou. People with Yellow and Red bar connection should not be allowed to play online at all is my point in case and Trials should be fixed around Skills and Connection instead of what ever the -blam!- y'all have going on. I'm tired of waiting almost an hour to find a game just to be paired with a team from another country who's connection is so bad it's unplayable. Bungie needs to fix their shit they're scamming people out of money and we are to dumb to see it. Destiny is a load of shit that needs to be shutdown.

  • I didn't read all the way through your post, but I read up to the point where you say ELO farmers are backing out of matches when they see they have a tough fight. As far as I know, Bungie bans people for backing out of trials matches when they do it repeatedly. This policy was implemented the third week after trials first went live, and I have seen no official communication from Bungie to state that it has been reversed or negated. If you can provide a source of information that says they have, please link it here.

Hey Corey Jay, As mentioned, please remove those links, it's considered naming and shaming and is against the Code of Conduct. https://www.bungie.net/mobi/en/about/conduct What you've mentioned isn't cheating. It's unfortunate, but nothing can be done about it. If you feel some kind of system should be implemented for these users, or that it should be considered cheating of some kind, feel free to post your thoughts in #Feedback.

    • A better method instead of banning would be to implement the same system as capcom. Just have them matchmake with other cheaters/quitters.

    • I'd recommend removing those links. That's considered naming & shaming, which is forbidden on this forum.
