They've made changes to the crucible matchmaking so that the system will sacrifice time to search for more players closer to you with more varied stats in order to fix the problems with skill based matchmaking that was going on that people were complaining about. Maybe this is what you're talking about.

That's incorrect. They supposedly widened the pool by dropping their shitty version of SBMM and allowing the search to grab from different pools of players. When they initially did this matchmaking queue time dropped dramatically but now it's back to waiting 5 mins for a sweaty match

I don't get as many sweaty matches anymore like people used to complain about to be honest and the way the update was explained to me was that they did what I said, followed by the update they just made reducing the number of game types available every week and therefor making each pool of players a bigger in order to speed up time a little. And idk man, for me it wasn't taking long at all for those super sweaty matches to be found anyway, seems to be taking longer now for me, which is honestly fine since I don't have to play like I'm playing Trials every match anymore.

I just meant I actually have to try my ass off instead of enjoying the match so long as I'm not going against a bunch of red bars (don't even get me started on these guys). But idk the queue takes longer if I'm solo queued vs when I'm with at least one other person. Issue with that tho, none of my friends play this anymore.
