Vex: the purpose is in the programming part 2

Part 2, let's get into it Aphix Invasive: So... these guys are... strange. Their purpose in the PoE is clear, invade the PoE. They're not prisoners, not even close, based on the grimoire the aphix Invasive, overmind Minotaurs, and Qodron are all there to eventually kill you. Invasive is pretty self evident, they are invading the PoE. Awesome so now all we have to do is find out just what the heck aphix means and we can be on our marry way right? Well no, no we cannot. As I'm sure all you lore junkies out there know, the Aphix Invasive didn't originate in the PoE, they existed long before then, intact they pop up in some pretty strange places. Not only do they appear as the fanatics and supplicants in VoG, but they show up on Mars as patrol event and mission targets, AND as a Minotaur that spawns at the entrance to the Nexus boss fight if you choose to stay up there. None of this is by coincidence btw because Bungie put this particular programming in these particular positions when they could have simply put any other programming instead. It is speculated that the AI... huh AI... neat, anyway. It is speculated that the AI are some sort of big time security force and this does make sense. Their ultimate purpose in the PoE is to guard Qodron, the centerpiece of vex activity in the PoE. This also helps explain why they're in the fights with Atheon and the Templar, as well as the Nexus. From this we can also infer that the AI might just be the most zealous programming in the vex collective, being put into the positions of fanatics and supplicants. There's just one small issue, Aphix Penultima Alpha, who's that? It's a Minotaur you have a chance of encountering during an eliminate the target event in the Buried City on Mars. What is it doing there? Who is it protecting? Is it protecting anything at all?... well maybe it's playing into the whole Invasive part of Aphix Invasive. Speaking of Aphix... what is it? It could be a reference to Aphix software where a Bungie employee may have worked at some point... actually there's a lot of companies which the word Aphix in them, now where did they get it from? Oh brother. Well it is Xhosa for hear (the Bantu language of the Xhosa, related to Zulu and spoken by over 7 million people. It is one of the official languages of South Africa)... okay so Invasive... hearing... Maybe they're spying or observing. That's why the Mars Vex targets are AI, they're spies. Okay that doesn't make too much sense either. Super zealous guards and spies, these guys are just all over the place and I honestly could be totally wrong with them. If anyone has any more information on them or has any ideas, I'm open to them. It seems to me that they fill a host of specialist roles, with the fanatics and supplicants not really being related to the name of the programming. Descendants: These guys can be found in the vault and during the blood in the garden mission. They look rather old, like they're the prototypes for the vex. But they're the descendants, sol imminent, they exist in our future... oh vex why must you be so complicated, just kidding I love it. Actually OG grimoire card patrollers will know that the cards were actually swapped, the descendants were precursors and the precursors were descendants. Anyway all in all it's pretty clear that Bungie is doing some weird time-loop stuff. Precursors: Found in the Vault and the Undying Mind strike. These guys looks pretty futuristic, like they're made of glass and gold. Pretty much an opposite of the descendants, they existed in our past, like wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy in the past. The meaning behind the precursors and descendants is pretty much in their grimoire. Sol Progeny: These bois oh these bois, we all know them. The final bosses of the vanilla destiny campaign, the Sol Progeny are three minotaurs primeval mind, imminent mind, and each representing the past, present sort of, and future respectively. These three were more than just simple body guards for the heart, they were Vex's attempt at binding themselves to the power of the heart, and the heart to them, the vex are quite infectious, lore surrounding vex armor points to them toying with the wearer's mind. But the heart wouldn't just bless the vex with power for no reason, it's gonna take some prodding. And that prodding comes in the shape... of us. Think about it, we forced the heart to give power to the vex, and now they have what they came for. Progeny after all means a descendant or the descendants of a person, animal, or plant; offspring. These vex are the descendants of both the vex and the heart. Sol being our sun could mean that these vex are only the first in our system, and there are hearts in other systems. One more little detail is that the vex are actually trying to bind this power to their past (primeval), present (imminent), and future (eschaton). I'm not finished yet though, as there are two more sol Progeny minotaurs, these being the Overmind Minotaur and the Groundskeeper. The overmind Minotaur is probably part of the sol Progeny just because Bungie used the same model for the OM as they did for one of the minds... or is it? The OM is capable of detaining you, which is a new and strange power, and it and Qodron are surrounded by the same black aura as the other sol Progeny members. The Groundskeeper was actually supposed to protect the garden and the Progeny, I mean it failed clearly, but it's the thought that counts I guess. Well this probably wasn't as good as the last one. But whatever, I want to know your opinions on the programmings.
