The damn challenges came out less than 24 hours ago and I'm already seeing lfg posts about deathsinger and Crota challenge modes with "know what to do".
How about you lazy schmucks TEACH them "what to do" since you're such experts having done it only a few times yourselves the very first day.
God people are idiots.
Edit:
# 1 I'm talking about the challenges
# 2 I don't need to start my own group because I'm not talking about It for myself. I'm saying the posts are ridiculous in general, not because I want / need to do it. I'm a year one player who has played consistently through the present and have friends I raid with.
# 3 People shouldn't have to watch a video for changes that JUST came out. If someone can't take a minute to explain it, they're idiots not worth playing with anyway.
# 4 A friend and I did a nightfall a while back with a random 15 below the required light level because our other friends weren't on. We gave him a shot and while his damage output was bad he was great with revives and popping bubble when things got rough. He ended up becoming a good friend who's now 400 and we play with regularly. I know it's not the same as raids but it doesn't hurt to give people a chance. They can end up becoming friends and becoming a good part of your team in the future.

I'm running challenges now streaming the death singer challenge and then we are going to the Croats Challange twitch.tv/Auxentary
-
Do you have to do the challenge or can you use one sword beater to take down Crota?
-
Agree, 100% Sure, we can make our own teams and let the tryhards demand whatever they want but watching YouTube videos should not be prerequisite to playing a video game. It's a GAME. The whole point is to have fun trying to figure it out, otherwise it's not a game anymore, it's just a "task".
-
I agree and disagree with your point. Its not that hard to watch a video, but its also not that hard to explain it
-
Just lie and pretend like you know what to do. Most of the time there's always someone barking out orders or trying to explain a strategy even if they think everyone there is "experts". And even if you do get booted, so what? Just find a new group and keep paying attention and before you know it you WILL know what to do.
-
I mean is it really to much to ask of someone to look up a video so they have at least some idea on what to do? Personally idc, as Long as you listen and have a mic I'll play with you.
-
Everyone has smartphones now and should easily know what to do lol.
-
-
Right because kill everything and then different sword bearers is to hard must be taught to the kinderguardians
-
Great post. Bump!
-
i'm a beta player and i watched the youtube video before going in. if you want to go in a virgin, i'm totally fine with that, but you better listen.
-
That's when you join and sabotage everything. Come on man, have fun with it instead of raging about it.
-
I'd rather get it done in 45 minutes rather than an hour+. My first time I did it with a group, I spent five minutes explaining how deathsinger challenge works, only for them to ignore me and kill here, and now I have one less shot at an exotic primary, can't be undone until the next time Crota is the featured raid (3 weeks)
-
Only knew concepts behind wrath of the machines raid first came out when I joined a group with the same caption, "know what to do" and I haven't even attempted it yet. The raid had been out for 3 days at this point. I said, "I haven't done the raid in two days, I may need a refresher at some parts and I'll be good." Needless to say, it worked and we beat the raid. I had no idea what I was doing until I watched what everyone else did. Just lie and fly by, that's all you need.
-
Agree, more Sherpas and less douchebags. Now if the group are turds, then be a turd. Otherwise, sherpa cause itll also help you in the real world to help other people!
The damn challenges came out less than 24 hours ago and I'm already seeing lfg posts about deathsinger and Crota challenge modes with "know what to do".
- The person making the post can set whatever requirements they want for it. - If you see a LFG post that you don't meet the requirements for you can either keep scrolling and find a post with requirements you meet or make your own post.
How about you lazy schmucks TEACH them "what to do" since you're such experts having done it only a few times yourselves the very first day.
- If you aren't willing to take 5 seconds to find a video on YouTube explaining the challenge then it's you who is the lazy schmuck. The information is readily available for those who are willing to look. - Just because someone knows something that doesn't mean they are required to take their time to teach you.
God people are idiots.
- This behavior of people being selective with who they play with has existed as long as raids have existed, if you haven't caught on to this then its you who is the idiot.
-
My very strict and difficult requirements, 390-400 Have a mic.
-
Know what to do is completely different than experience required. When people say know what to do, that means watch a video on it at the very least. Datto puts out great guides, I suggest you watch them.

Edited by Zero xMDKx: 3/30/2017 2:11:48 AMWell....if they was like the rest of us and did the raid back in year 1 it wouldnt take FOREVER to complete a smiple challenge that was easy back in year 1. no lie last night after work my first raid team i joined leader SAID everyone knew how to do the raid besides 1 person...ok no biggie. Then we got to the bridge and everyone ONLY knew how to cheese the bridge they didnt know how to do it legit...so i showed them...took 5 tries but we did it...next came deathsinger I told them how run it for challenge and again took 7+ tries but we did it. NOW came crota challenge...raid leader got a big ego all of a sudden and tried telling ME how to do the challenge...i laughed at this to the point i nearly pissed myself and i am a year 1 hunter so i knew how this works. We kept wiping over and over and over and then i said lets do my strat and well my way was better than his....leader got mad and left and my team beat it cause i told them what to do....when people act like they know everything those are the people you try to avoid and not take all night to do something simple

Edited by OldboyVicious: 3/30/2017 12:57:24 AMThe problem with the statement "Know what to do" is that if someone thinks they know what to do, but they really don't, then they don't know that they don't. Which is why in my opinion, its better to just get chill, cool people to play with regardless of experience, so that if you get or give feedback and advice it doesn't turn into stupid dramatic nonsense.
-
You can watch the challenge mode videos 100 times. But until they actually experience it, they won't truly "know what to do." Experience is the best teacher.
-
Thats a proper Destiny related rant. GJ! This is why I come to these forums. Shit is hilarious.
-
Seriously though, why wouldn't you watch the videos to further understand how to do it...? Thats what i do every time something new comes out. I hate going into a raid having absolutely no idea what is going on in a group full of people who do, I dont understand why anyone wouldnt want to watch a video beforehand to get the jist of what to do....

Edited by Kirby235711: 3/30/2017 1:10:46 AMBasically, you can't get experience if no one let's you do it; no one let's you do it if you don't have experience. Get familiar with that sentence kids, because that's how employment works.

The revamped raids have only been out for 24 hours and people are already complaining about lfg requirements.
