"Know what to do."
The damn challenges came out less than 24 hours ago and I'm already seeing lfg posts about deathsinger and Crota challenge modes with "know what to do".
How about you lazy schmucks TEACH them "what to do" since you're such experts having done it only a few times yourselves the very first day.
God people are idiots.

# 2 I don't need to start my own group because I'm not talking about It for myself. I'm saying the posts are ridiculous in general, not because I want / need to do it. I'm a year one player who has played consistently through the present and have friends I raid with.
# 3 People shouldn't have to watch a video for changes that JUST came out. If someone can't take a minute to explain it, they're idiots not worth playing with anyway.
# 4 A friend and I did a nightfall a while back with a random 15 below the required light level because our other friends weren't on. We gave him a shot and while his damage output was bad he was great with revives and popping bubble when things got rough. He ended up becoming a good friend who's now 400 and we play with regularly. I know it's not the same as raids but it doesn't hurt to give people a chance. They can end up becoming friends and becoming a good part of your team in the future.

People who make those posts , have no clue what to do. I'm about to do that. I'll be the one fireteam member that has no idea what to do. The other 5 people were heavily vetted though, with strict requirements, so all you gotta do is just die, let them Do everything. You'll be fireteam leader, so none can kick you. You gotta beat them At their own game. Think outside the box. Use the same strategy meant to keep you out of fireteams, to trick people into doing the whole raid for you. Use your head bro.

It's their group and they can put whatever requirements on it they want. If you're so hung on people not teaching others then go do it yourself.

We want to get it done fast and having people that know what to do are going to be the quickest and most likely the most efficient option.

Honestly when I see know what to do, it usually means know how to use your thumbs, when advice is given, listen to it, and understand the basic mechanics, explaining a challenge to a group that has done the regular raid once is not that bad, but explaining the challenge on top of the normal raid sometimes gets annoying. I know everyone has to learn, but there are always people posting without these requirements as well.

2 RepliesI understand your frustration. With the development of technology (phones, computers, etc). The ability to learn a new tactic is quite easy. Perhaps we are simply seeing a generation of Millenials expecting others to be quick a information gathering. Having said that: Yes - show some grace to people new to challenges. Take some time help others out occasionally. Be a friendly guardian. Unfortunately, I have made several forum posts offering help to people of lower LL, experience, etc. - not one time have I received a response.

Posted saying "please know what to do" meaning come in with a general understanding of how it works so I don't have to explain. Not prior experience or emblems or anything just a quick google search

12 RepliesThe problem lies with people's free time and whether they play video games or tend to life stuff. I have a load of free time so I tend to do a lot of my bounties and strikes before my clan mates are online. An issue I have is that people don't look at guides and expect to be carried through end game content without even trying to level themselves up because of their limited playing hours. I know so many people who don't have a Black Spindle or even ANY of the gunsmith exotic class weapons. I'm happy to help people so long as they try to help themselves along the way. Wanting to complete end game content i.e. Raids, is what it's all about but at least have more than a dozen options for weapons and armour and please, have all your subclasses levelled up.

Challenge for crota's end are very simple. Just take a minute to explain. But I think they mean know how to do the raid, and to a lesser extent the challenge.

5 RepliesI agree with OP to a degree, I saw LFG posts 3 minutes after the update went live on Tuesday asking for people who "knew what they were doing", yes I do, I'm muting you for being an elitist ass hat, that's what I'm doing. I've also noticed Void drinker/Raze Lighter have become the knew Gjallarhorn must have or booted weapon (I have them all so not being salty). Grow up. I'm glad I have friends that run for fun and happily help solo players without elitist prejudices. [spoiler]Just be excellent to each other![/spoiler]

What I have found through the past with lfg is that most of the ones asking for people to know what they are doing is cos they don't know themselves.

The best we managed was 4 across in one attempt out of all the wipes...Also on an earlier attempt I had been the only one to survive long enough after the abyss to cross the first bridge and drag the rest through Some people cannot listen or learn, they expect to be carried 100% of the way. Unfortunately this is a new hard mode without an equivalent normal mode 20 LL lower for noobs to practice and learn the mechanics. Original Crota NM & HM are too easy Based on yesterday, a group can afford only 1 blueberry and make progress. Anything more you are wasting peoples time

1 ReplyUnfortunately it is all a race for the "gear". People want to run around with full raid gear and exotic weapons as soon as possible, with whatever shaders and emblems are given out. Taking time to Sherpa players reduces how much gear they can grab. They only have so much time to play and want to get as much loot as possible. It is how Bungie hooks players into the game. It is really crappy a lot of times. People often play for the rewards, not to have fun. I just play for fun. Maybe i will grind Iron Banner for a good gun, but grinding for me is a few hours per week lol.

Part of the problem is the time constraints. We have one week to complete the challenge, and a lot of us have limited availability to play. LFG is a crapshoot, and i dont blame people for having requirements to join. If it bothers you that much, join a clan or find a regular group.

1 ReplyNo body gave me a chance yesterday to do crotas end. While spening half an hour sending out my class and light (388 warlock) So I gave up and posted fresh crota heroic. Eneded up having a 386 join and the rest 400 light(five people left while in orbit cause we were ""too low"". We went from the beginning to completing challenge mode on deathsinger. Me and the other lower guy go the same amount of kills and I ended up having to solo parts like ogres or knights and got it done quick. Gg ez. Level 400 requirement bs If you say level 400 requirement get gud and make yourself 388 light level like me.
