My destiny
I love this game. I can run strikes forever, I don't get bored. Weekly modifiers are enough to keep me coming back. Thanks for a great escape from the norm. Killing multiple different races of aliens is so satisfying.
I will play this game the day before D2 comes out, then start over happily. I am glad to be a part of such an epic journey.
It's the path traveled, not the destination, that makes the guardian legendary. Tell me your story.

How long you been playing? For me, I've loved this game, played since beta, completed all moments of triumph and honestly think, despite the many flaws, that this is one of the best games I've ever played. However... despite all that. I can't bring my self to do any strikes. Raids are the best thing in this game for me but LFG is such a chore! Friends left months ago and so did I. I drop in from time to time for some crucible or whatever. You should try other games too... go away, play something new, come back for a bit. Rinse repeat. Makes you appreciate the game more. Loads of other good games about. Can't wait for Destiny 2.

4 RepliesI posted this last week in reply to another post, but the heart is what I wanted to convey is better suited here. You bet it was worth it. I spent the money then some and I play this game daily. And I don' t care how anybody wants to spin it, the 45 days and 10 hours roughly that I have into this game is by far more than I have ever spent in any other game ever. The $$$ I spent on this game total I could have bought, played and discarded other games, games that I could say I played but aren't on my radar anymore. So I'm glad to say that the $$$ invested here in destiny is STILL paying off for me. Not to mention all the other things Destiny has brought to me that as a year one player I never anticipated my $$$ getting me... i.e. My clan and friends I have made, this game getting me through. Some seriously dark and rough patches in my life... just to name a few. So again the answer is YES, what I have paid is worth it to me. YES if you want to label me a fanboy you can because this game means something to me. Yes I have a life outside of this game, a job, a family, other interests, but I also have the destiny shirts, listen to several if the podcasts, and spend my fair share of time on the app, in the forums, and in my clan discord. I have been a gamer since home consoles were born. Atari is fuzzy for me but NES and forward, gaming has grown up with me, and in all that time, all those consoles, games and so forth, destiny has made it to the top of this as being the most meaningful. So thanks for asking the question, and thank you bungee for this amazing ride. I m ready for the next adventure![spoiler]POW! That just happened[/spoiler]

Well met fellow guardian. I am in this for the Long haul as well...It was the only reason I jumped up to a next gen console, at the time and still the only game for it I own. I look forward to seeing everyone on the front lines of this new release and those that follow. Now be careful out there guardians for I believe the last city is falling.

I took some time away from it for personal reasons but came back for RoI and was happy I did. I kno a lot of people complain about things and wish that al lot of stuff was like it was in yr 1, me included when it comes to some stuff but that being said I do love this game. I'll be playing up until D2 comes out and I've enjoyed and will continue to enjoy my journey

Ditto. Strikes with different burns have occupied most of my time. Still very enjoyable, dont play as much as I used to, but still get my fix regularly 😉.

1 ReplyI love a good fps, and Destiny is the best (mechanics, graphics, guns). So it's the perfect game for me, and I still play every day. I'm also a beta player, so I do have the resentment and frustration with Bungie for forcing us to play they way they want us to play, for taking things away from us, for poor design decisions, sloppy management, and a snarky, condescending attitude. That said, it's still the best game I've ever played, and my hours played reflects that.
