What did you do to crucible
First time touching trials in like a month and you're no special ammo turned it into all ice breakers 😂 I don't think you've had a worse meta bungies live team so props 👍🏿
Never thought I'd get so many likes and comments on this lol. Glad to see it isn't just my opinion

They spent nearly three whole years destroying and making weaker the whole arsenal of primary weapons. Special weapons had just had perks removed or their ammo nerfed, so their strength compared to primaries are considerably unbalanced now. Bungie and Josh Hamrick and his weapons balancing team don't have the three more years to nerf all the special weapons to match the weakness of primaries. They don't have another three years to buff all primaries back to match the special weapons, that all they could do was figure out a way to eliminate the use of special weapons altogether. They did it by taking special ammo away on death. These are the people we are supposed to trust for D2? Uh oh!

Icebreaker is unique....they already butchered the aim assist and scope zoom on it. The meta now is ammo. Icebreaker doesn't rely on ammo pickups...but it ammo generation is slow. Best way to counter it is to not let it make ammo...aka rush them. NLB is another issue and it's getting it's wings clipped a bit...but essentially in trials if you don't have a sidearm with NLB you virtually defenseless up close. Post patch 1 get 1 sidearm clip. That will be better.

1 ReplyAbsolutely agree. I haven't touched trials in like 4 to 5 weeks, just ran a card, won't be running anymore. No land, sidearms, stickies.... oh what variety, lol. Watched this guy with ironwreath kill my 2 teammates with one clip in like a second, while being shot.. lil ridiculous. Full team of self rez warlocks, Ill just.. oh wait I don't have any sniper or shotgun ammo to shut down a self rez, oh well. Don't they look at the gun usage stats? Nerfing special ammo in trials didn't work before, why would it work now? Why can't we start each round with a mag of 2 special or something????? So far this week in trials, No land 11% , Wormwood 18% , Icebreaker 13% . GG for balance.

I played trials for fun... I have over 2300 matches in trials... I just cant enjoy it anymore... Ive played only a few matches since the update.

I bet they won't even divulge if the new game's sandbox has the same changes until launch. In fact I bet they don't even talk about it and just pray there isn't a backlash if they do happen to retain the changes.

I thought Bungie had made a human and understandable error when designing this meta and unleashing it on us last month, and that it would be fixed after the savage negative reaction they got. I was wrong. The new meta was designed to repeatedly and emphatically shut down special users, even those who don't main them. The anger and frustration we express? It indicates to them that the meta is working exactly as expected. Classic negative reinforcement in action. So while I know Ice Breaker and NLB are vexing sometimes, I have no issues with them: I support anyone who rejects the new meta, whatever their method.

3 RepliesIt's all a conspiracy!!! They left ice breaker behind because it was "taking over" trials. Then bungie says "we will give them the ice breaker back and really stick it to them." They give the ice breaker back, then kill special so that IB and side arm are almost the only feasible specials to use. Ice breaker is now taking over trials! Haha They say "we gave y'all what y'all wanted!" Just like they do with so many things. Wreck the item or the situation that can call for that item, then give us the item and wonder why we are not satisfied with it. Elemental primaries?? Make em exotic! They say "we gave y'all what y'all wanted!" It's a constant cruel joke. One huge psychological experiment.
