They are the most balanced they have ever been in my opinion, most people use hc right now because autos still suck, everyone's favorite pulse rifle archetype was nerfed to shit, and scouts aren't designed for most pvp engagements. Please reconsider.
-
I hate nerfs and hope for buffs. HC's aren't balanced though. They have the quickest time to kill and reward sloppy play. Only needing to land 1/3 of precision shots. Pulses, scouts and autos need nearly all of their shots to be precision. It's too easy to get outplayed by a HC at any range.

They are still the best weapon foe PvP. You will be OK. I haven't noticed much of a difference. It will impact the Litc users more then people who were using rangefinder.

This was asked for in these feedback forums, by fools who can not shoot straight, and do not understand ingame mechanics. You must have read the posts asking for: In return for better initial accuracy, they asked for increased damage falloff. What these geniuses failed to understand is that any increase in damage falloff, is the equivalent of an effective range nerf. There was never anything wrong with initial accuracy, if you understood the core hand cannon techniques. However, if you understood hand cannons, you would have been opposed to any form of damage falloff. But, as is usual in these cases, the most vocal, and least informed, hijack the narrative, and ram through their opinion, without thinking of the wider consequences. Unskilled Guardians asked for this, and BUNGIE listened.

believe ut or not the feedback forum asked for this, shortly after the latest patch people complained saying the same thing thats said everytime a new patch is released. "destiny is dead" "this meta is dumb/not fun" "there is no variety" "rip crucible" "(new meta) is op" one of these "points" started trending... ill let you guess which one.
its the one regarding "variety in pvp"
in those posts people complained all anyone used was icebreaker, nlb, sidearms and handcannons. look whats on the chopping block, Nlb, sidearms, and handcannons. "if that were the case, why hasnt icebreaker been hit yet?" id assume its because its only been introduced (or rather re-introduced) this christmas, weapons ussually last a few months before getting hit with their first nerf (i.e. clever dragon/matador) so what have we learned today? 1.the feedback forum complains to much 3. i dont know how to count B. instead of complaining about "op weapons" we should try to play around them.
-
Perhaps because stats show that the HC is the dominant primary in pvp. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.
-
It's all good, Bungies playerbase numbers keep dropping lower and lower with each patch. Just let them keeping "balancing" their game lol.
-
Because Hamrick is addicted to nerfing.

Edited by SKULLCRUSHER1974: 3/27/2017 8:30:01 PMWhat some people forget is that range also effects aim assist. That's what is going to hurt more, Cos I can't hit a side of a barn door without it. Edit. The nerf should only effect the high range hand cannons. I don't use TLW cos I suck with it and feel they deserve the kill when they get me.
-
I'm ok with this change. It will make auto rifles viable again and pulse rifles work better within their intended range. Hand cannons are currently overlapping into pulse rifle territory by a wide margin and completely outclass auto rifles.
-
Because they are border line broken...?
-
Because 2 tapping people shouldn't be so damn rewarding.
-
Compared to other primary weapons, Hand Cannon are the easiest and most obvious weapon to use right now. Pulses are mediocre. Scouts and Autos are being destroyed by almost any Hand Cannon.
-
The new nerf is just shaving a touch off of range. They said like a 3m shave. I think that's reasonable. I don't think 2 headshots from long range with a HC should take out a scout rifle (who needs 3 shots).
-
HC are the most absolute bullshit in this game I mean a 2 shot kill from close range and a 3 shot from long range come on now
-
Wait HCs are the current meta because using a palindrome archetype with "reinforced barrel" you cant lose agains any other weapon to that add "range finder" and "luck in the chamber" and to be a bigger troll put a "sure shot is" sight and there it is the new shotgun. But even if I see them as the new cancer and really expect changes I never heared about any nerf to them, there are news about it?
-
Power needs to be nerfed it's stupid that it can two shot me
-
For teh lulz.
-
Cause they were to much fun.
-
All they are doing is trying once again to make them less sniper rifle like. Calm your tits.
-
Hand cannons are experiencing what happened to fusion rifles.
-
Again and again
-
It's not that big of a nerf.
-
Too much range! Can't use my Auto Rifle.
-
There's a podcast out there by 5 well known Destiny players that rip you crybabies a new one. They nerfed them because you kids kept crying about bloom. Everyone told you if it was fixed HC would see a nerf. IT"S YOU DAMN FAULT! Destiny Community Podcast

...And I'm just here in a corner waiting for hand cannons to slowly die so that my Fabian strategy can become the low key meta
