I think that there should be something similar to forge mode in the upcoming Destiny Sequel, because of how it felt as if you were playing something new every time you got on Halo. It's one of the key things that kept Halo so unpredictable and fun because it wasn't non-stop campaign and multiplayer. Actually, me and my friends had more fun playing forge on Halo than the other game modes. We'd group 8 of us together and we'd start going through all the maps and game modes created by the community, and we'd be laughing for hours. Those were some of the most fun times I've had playing a video game. This would join the community together and give us a chance to see what other players would build.
If you don't think that they could make sense out of it since the game is a co-op MMO. Well, they could in the same way that competitive multiplayer will, you'll have to go to a specified in game location. The location can be justified with whatever suits the lore, traveler holographic training room, ancient lost civilization technology, whatever. If you think there should please add on to what I think.
And if you think there shouldn't, give a decent explanation of why you think that forge mode shouldn't be in Destiny.
-
Maybe not Forge, but definitely an arena like the simulator thing in Warframe where you can fight which ever enemy you please.
-
That isn't the kind of game that destiny is. The crucible is supposed to be justified by secured areas, and every no and then some enemies appear. How on earth would they be able to explain maps CREATED by the community? Sure, they could say they were new crucible arenas, but I highly doubt that amy player could make as high quality maps as bungie has.
-
I had an idea for that some time ago. Players could make their own Crucible maps and Strikes in either the style of Halo's Forge or Far Cry 3/4's map editors. It wouldn't be canon, so Strikes could have any enemies on any location.
-
"Lore".
-
Forge mode is actually one of the greatest game modes ever. 10/10 would play again.
-
How about a Strike Builder instead?
-
That would be awesome. Just imagine the SRL maps people could make.
-
They would have to name it something like architect mode but yeah I would love a forge-like mode!
-
This game is already becoming a Halo remake. Lets not encourage Bungie now
-
Bungie servers can barely manage to keep THIS game itself active. You really think they'll be able to handle a new game PLUS all of the cloud storage for the 200+ race tracks, mazes, and miscellaneous Mine craft inspired weirdness players would create?
-
Before I got Xbox Live I spent all of time in Halo Reach Forge Mode just building things. I had so much fun.
-
It will be another halo.
-
Why is this in lore tab
-
Solid 50/50 split. Didn't expect that.
-
We don't have the customisation options we did in halo, specifically weapons (which aren't scattered around the map), vehicles (they generally don't fit the smaller style of map) and the multitude of other random objects halo had in it (teleporters, explosive barrels by the bucketload etc).
