Speak for yourself...this has been the most enjoyable meta for pvp in my opinion. No more jug shotgun and now only having a single clip at spawn for sidearms will make them farrr less rampant. Perfect.

    I was using sidearm since before it was meta and even then that shit was fun.

  • Idk if that's true but it has more to do with amo economy then it does "op" meta weapon usage... so this update with only starting with a clip of side arm amo should fix the issue... I'd be curious to see matador usage stats in the last meta vs wormwood stats now

  • "Because other play styles suck" I didn't mention ANY play styles in my comment as "sucking" I pointed out that there's no more jug shotgun (the #1 complaint of last metas issues) but yes this new meta has seen A ton more primary use then the last metas. There are so many options that compete now... high impact scouts and the mida archetype scouts do extremely well... high impact pulses do well, hawksaw archetype pulses do well, palindrome archetype hand cannons do extremely well. With this amo change to respawn in sidearms, you will see a pretty large drop off of actual sidearm kills. The Past meta was reduced to literally two weapons (clever dragon and matador) so I'm happy with the current variety. Scouts/pulses/hand-cannons all out shoot side arms at medium and long range.

  • And all the nerfs caused that, btw you are wrong. Handcannon are the only weapons without significant damage nerfs. So thays why they often were the only primary used. Sidearms never got nerfed so thats why they saw a big spike. And the fact that they actually had ammo Bungie literally nerfed everything else into the ground, thats why one or two things are used. And i can tell you dididnt like jug shotty for personal reasons, not overuse,

  • I'm not arguing why certain weapon archetypes effectiveness change over time in the game (obviously "balance" patches change things) that's a redundant argument to make in your part especially when it's replying to my personal opinion on the current meta lol You said I'm wrong but not quite sure what you are referring to since it's "literally" an opinion about meta preference (can't be wrong or right in an opinion based observation)... either way you should probably learn what the word literally means and when to accurately use it in a sentence ... bungie wasn't out back "literally" nerfing weapons into the ground lol. Sure they figuratively nerfed weapons into the ground but not literally.

  • In comparison to LAST META this meta has way more variety. It's not ideal by any means but it's variety when compared to the clever dragon matador meta. I'm sure the usage stats will prove my point.

  • Handcannons still got used a lot then too. Also there where hawksaws and clever dragons due to armor builds countering the dragon in rumble. Also, snipers where just as prevelant, a lot of snipers ran around on the right maps, and in trials, now its just the same 3 guns in every playlist
