You shouldn't remove your theory because someone says "no". Put that thing back up! >:T
I do disagree however. While it's not too far fetched that Bloodborne could be the Age of Dark, I don't think it's a painting.
Ariandel, Ariamis, both have several similarities that Bloodborne does not. First "aria", second; snow, third; crow people, fourth; rot. Bloodborne has none of that.

I came with another theory(more or less) Maybe the dark soul actually causes the painting corruption to be different, and the hunter's nightmare/dream is the painting

That could work, but there's still no Rot, and no matter how the Painted World changes, I don't think you can be rid of Rot. It's definitely an interesting theory, though, I'd love to see you flesh it out.
