You can still get Hawksaw from blue/purple primary weapon engrams.

Yes, but the hawksaw is a crucible vender weapon and is still available also through rank up packages. He wants the factions to work similarly to how the crucible works to be able to get those weapons no longer obtainable from them.

Exactly. Just seems like a logical step for us to have faction packages featuring legacy weapons. There are so many great weapons that got lost or left behind because content moved forward and people didn't have the vault space.

Both of you are right. I get jealous when I see people who have year one or two weapons like such from the Iron Banner or factions. It would be nice for them to add those forgotten weapons to the loot pool.
