Serious question to those who defend Skorris...

Why, specifically, is this most recent adjustment a bad thing? Hear me out While I don't agree with the vast majority of nerfs that bungie has implemented (or the awful way which they implement them, which could be a post all it's own...), I do think that the nerf to skorris was UNDENIABLY justified, and I have seen some arguments in the forums that are inexcusably lazy and uninformed in regards to the overall design of this game. 1) Stop associating the skorris nerf with people who complain about weapon balance. Many people who advocated its nerf were players like myself, who want strong primary weapons along with the return of fluid, fast-handling special weapons. The nerf-monkeys are not the reason for the nerf, rational thought is. The skorris artifact was FUNDAMENTALLY broken even from a simple gameplay standpoint: IT IS NOT AN INDICATION OF GOOD GAME DESIGN WHEN PLAYERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO NOT PLAY THE GAME. (Caps are simply to emphasize, by the way. Do not take it as a harsh or condescending tone.) 2) Stop acting like this is some major blow for PvE players in order to justify your frustration at not being able to abuse camping in PvP. One kill per minute is NOTHING, even in the crucible. 3) Skorris will still be amazing in trials. Rounds in trials of Osiris are currently 90 seconds long, and knowing bungie's lack of polishing skills it is likely that skorris effect will carry over between rounds. If you don't get one kill per round in trials, there's an issue, and disputing that implies that you believe that people who don't get kills deserve super energy faster than those who do: i.e. you think camping spawns is dynamic and fun gameplay. While I absolutely agree that PvP and PvE should be balanced separately, I believe that, with this most recent skorris adjustment, bungie has accomplished that goal for the first time in over two years. Now if only they brought back the stopping power of year 1 primary weapons ...

 • It's the fact that PvE it's no longer as useful. One of the best things about the Artifacts is that in PvE, you can recover supers from a wipe if you have a sunsinger. Take Siege Engine for example. Everyone uses supers on that strike at the start. If you wipe, all progress made by supers is lost, and all orbs are gone. So Skorri's could be used to get back into the action. And in PvP it required you to think rationally. It pressured one team to plan ahead and attack. If they are all hiding in a corner, you use grenades to force them to scatter. You could just go in guns blazing. I don't play Trials so I might not be an expert, but if in PvE I'm getting kills, chances are so is my team. And if they are getting kills, then they'll be getting supers. Without Skorris.
