Legend, naljubuites(watch in awe!) old

Dude i would pay just to have year 1 back period, no ttk no roi like i told bungie. I know they heard me because they asked for more destiny story's, destiny year 1 was like endless possibility, I got the destiny theme on my ps4 and i love it..it reminds me so much of year 1. Destiny year 1 felt like endless possibility ttk felt like it ended with oryx and rise of iron the same but when we finished the vex in year one, I felt like more was coming and we couldn't wait, please pay attention bungie because when players hit 310 on ttk a majority quit and same with the rise of iron. Bungie for the last time make destiny great again who remembers doing the weekly strikes for seven strange coins? Running mission and making your own story as you go, taking down night falls so you can show off on the tower and see who don't have blue shit coming out of there head? bungie last time make destiny great again please!

  • I want y 1 crucible back. And no I'm not talking about thorn. I'm talking about when crucible was fun. There was so much weapon variety and player variety in y1 as opposed to y3 where every playlist is a sweatfest, every weapon has been nerfed to the point where people are scavenging the few legendaries that can compete with the abilities/weapons that have yet to be smashed into the ground. If you remember when someone was rushing you with a shotgun, You did not have to worry because you had your 2 shot thorn, your 3 tap TLW, your sniper with a snappy scope and reasonable flinch, 1 shot hawkmoon, suros, vex,Messenger etc. to counter the jackass running at you like an ape (which very few ppl even did back then). Also it was very rare not to have special ammo. How did this work out? There was actually an incentive to use primaries instead of bungo nerfing them and then taking away all of our spec/heavy so we have no choice but to use them. All I'm saying is a game is supposed to be fun. That's the purpose that they exist In the first place. So why can't bungie just make their game fun let alone actually play it themselves. Also I think it's time to scrap skill based matchmaking. All it does is make crucible into a sweaty lagfest that is not fun whatsoever. In y1 I could just play in the crucible and have some laughs with friends and not have to worry about my k/d being screwed over by someone trying their Ashol off. Anyway if bungie can just make their game fun by reverting all the nonsense nerfes implemented in y2/3 and scrapping skill based matchmaking people would probably stop bitching and moaning in forums and bungie would not have to nerf everything in the first place.

  • Yeah miss the overpowered weapons in PvP and the terrible PvE story missions and General lack of content

  • If they could combine all the positives from each year this game would be amazing. Year 1 was good because everything had a purpose even grinding your gear out had a purpose. Year 2 more story and added subclasses. But they changed the whole reward system around and that has been their downfall. In year 3 more story and gear. We need to have all the dlcs and content with the year 1 reward system. Everything has gotten too watered down. The gear and the grinding mostly now is pointless because the rewards aren't nearly as good as year 1 and the system at which you do everything has become pointless! The problem is they tuned all the dlcs to be in line with the TTK standards and there is no going back now. I have a feeling D2 is going to be more of the same TTK standards and that is very mundane and unfortunate. Who made most of the game in year 1 anyway because whoever made that game was amazing whoever made TTK doesn't know what their doing. ROI is the worst of, in terms of reward system, all of them combined. I'm speaking all about the reward system when speak about TTK and ROI too.

  • The weekly heroic strike had 3 difficulties that got you 3, 6, or 9 strange coins per character depending which one you tried. Man I remember the first time completing The Summoning Pits as the weekly Heroic on hard and it took 2.5 hours lol... It was level 28 IIRC and we had one guy at 24, and a couple of us at 27. That damage penalty for being under leveled was huge. The 24 light level guy couldn't kill a red bar Knight with his Fist of havoc, I think he had 2 kills for the entire thing. A few months later, I needed 9 coins to buy the Ice Breaker when it finally came up for sale with Xur. I solo'ed the nexus strike on hard to get them because none of my friends were around to help lol... got it done though, and got my Ice Breaker. The grind for materials was brutal, I wouldn't want that back. That said, there was a lot about year 1 that was awesome :-)

  • In my opinion, no to Year 1. The GRIND in Year 1 is insane. Go run Vault and get any weapon drop from there and take a look at the requirements to level it up: 15 nodes? No thanks - especially since you couldn't use Motes of Light to level up gear in Y1. 80 planteray materials? Again, no thanks - especially since you couldn't buy planetary materials with Legendary marks. Not just the gear but how about the limitations to how many bounties you can carry. What about having to return to the tower to turn in any bounties. No gear manager app? Class specific armor materials? Ugh... no thanks. Don't get me wrong, there's some great things about Year 1 that I remember and enjoyed. I think every iteration of the game has good and bad though. However, I believe that Year 1 holds a special place and is mostly remembered for the good times since it's the first experience that many Destiny players have. When I find myself yearning for Year 1 though, then I start to remember all the problems and inconveniences we had during Year 1. No thanks.
