Ever since the recent update came out, I've had a vast increase in the number of rage messages from players. I've been a dedicated NLB since it was first brought forward to year values back in December 2015. I have religiously used NLB and swapped between using a fusion rifle or sidearm.
Yes, I used fusion rifles before the April update, 2016.
However I see all these players moaning about NLB now even though these... people... would have shit on NLBs in the past. It's always had unflinching, it's always been able to shoot back when you're under fire. It doesn't really have much else going for it so as soon as you take that away, it's going to be a bog standard sniper that goes into your primary slot. If the Universal Remote is still able to get precision hits then NLB should retain unflinching.
Sidearms, I agree, need to brought inline with other special weapons but they should still get ammo from the reserve ammo intrinsic perk that all sidearms have. I think that the reserve ammo perk should be made obtainable on all special weapons and not just sidearms. However they don't need a nerf.
Again Bungie, this is a fine example of that people won't use what you want them to (primaries) but they will use whatever they feel like they are forced into and is effective. Seeming though the ammo economy of sidearms remained unchanged and NLB is one of the best primary counters in the game, that's why usage has spiked.
Also, shout out to all my Beyonder brethren out there!

When you see someone complain about No Land Beyond, check their kills with it. They will never have more than 100 kills, showing that they clearly are morons who have no clue how difficult of a gun it is to use
-
You use it now. It doesn't matter what you did then. Using the meta makes people angry.
-
Doesn't matter what anyone says the Nerf police are already about to go to work. This -blam!-ing game man. Every time I get comfortable with a loadout these clowns nerf them.
-
NERF THEM TO THE GROUND
-
But it's been 10 days of the new meta and the crybabies need to blame something for losing a gunfight in a video game .
-
When people are complaining about one of the biggest joke weapons in all of Destiny's lifespan, that's how you know the nerfing has gone too far
-
Nope. It's trash

-
I agree about nlb
-
It needed flinch so it's good they're bringing that in. Going to make it oh so much funnier when we still dominate people who were complaining about it having no flinch xD
-
Nlb is getting a nerf. Wait for it....

People don't like getting domed by lesser skilled players. By people I mean higher kd players getting killed by lesser kd players. Anything that closes the skill gap in Destiny makes them want to "pitch fork" it up out of Destiny. They get their egos bruised when anything in Destiny pops up that doesn't complement "their" playstyles". Don't believe you don't have the support for your post just because you see that 0 and you're down voted. It's because these streamers and MLG top players like to troll the forums and they like to troll Bungie employees on twitter and social media. They get their "minions", which are people who like to watch games not play them, to troll what they don't agree with. Sometimes these minions don't even know they are minions because they fell for something called the "long con". You've basically been programmed to support these streamers without even realizing it. This makes it look like you don't have the support for your post but their are a ton of players out there that don't want NLB messed with! We don't want anymore changes to the game that benefit the minority only! The average players outnumber these people 2 to 1. The problem is these MLG players and streamers make Bungie look like they have more support than they really do. These streamers and content creators abuse their platforms to manipulate Bungie into doing what they want. These people are masters of manipulating social media and using smoke and mirrors tactics to make it look like they have the traction of the player-base. Bungie your getting "played" fam! You think just because you sold more copies of ROI than Vanilla Destiny that you are gaining good growth and gaining a bigger global reach? You think it's these content creators that are driving sales and giving your game more popularity? The truth is it's your average player-base that gets their friends to buy Destiny, then their friends to buy it, then their friends and family and so on and so on. You are screwing over the wrong people in favor of a minority Bungie. These people are manipulating you because they are making money off you. The truth is they want you to mold the game to their liking to make it easier on them and fit their playstyles. This is driving away the average players from your game. All that will be left playing Destiny will be MLG players and streamers and their "minions". Start listening to the other half of your community Bungie! #quitlisteningtocontentcreatorsOnly

NOOOPE. Update coming soon.

Too late, nerfs inbound!
-
Git gud, NLB is getting flinch finally.
-
Sure, when they bring the thorn back

Edited by xJPerk: 2/24/2017 1:00:38 AMNo land beyond is going to be receiving a nerf in the next update. It will now flinch the way other snipers do. Also sidearms will now only spawn with a small amount of ammo and won't retain ammo you grab from special boxes after death.
-
Oh I don't hate on nlb I jist believe it should flinch like other snipers because as it is now I get punished for hitting my headshots and tbh it's rather annoying they, said however that they are looking into that so other than that have fun with the gun
-
Honestly people who use this load out shouldn't get hate (I may be biased since Ive been using max aa snipers and TLW since year 1) but it is frustrating being killed by side arms faster than the last word but that's because I probably got outplayed and probably missed shots. The overall message is DON'T HATE THE PLAYERS HATE BUNGIE
-
I actually respect those who wield a NLB and are actually good with it. The NLB is probably one of the hardest destiny weapons to master(in my opinion).
-
I honestly don't play as much as I used to because of a new career. I have no issue with people using whatever they want. If your reasoning is that you feel like you needed to search and find a new meta with the patch, that to me is dumb. But like I said, I can laugh at the loadout, but if I get killed by it so be it. There's nothing left for me to obtain in destiny other than a crux or vex. I just think some people take this way too seriously. The patch goals are to make people use different weapons. Which is an impossible task because no matter what they do, people will find a new exploit meta and that's bungie's fault for making those weapons. So just enjoy the game. If you have fun with NLB and sidearm be my guest. We are all here to have fun. But if you're doing it because you feel like you have to in order to compete that's weird. Hate mail be damned. I'll never run that loadout but if it helps you have fun so be it. To each their own and you'll never get hate mail from me. Serious hate mail at least. Too many people (not saying you) just spend way too much time looking for guns to help overcome their lack of skill
-
Well, people have been raging and complaining about everything else in this game, so why would NLB be any different?
-
Played a team of 3 Trash no land sidearm users last night. No headshots, all double body shots or body team shooting.
-
I don't hate sidearms but I do hate getting killed by NLB. Just seems cheap when those ridiculous headshots sometimes
-
So you want no land beyond to continue to be the singular weapon in the entire game that has a fake, purely cosmetic only flinch? It's a broken gun, simple as....
-
IMO Players can be very good with a variety of weapons in destiny. All preference. But there are a select few weapons which are annoying as fuk. And now that this stupid special ammo thing is going on, people are dusting off their NLB and getting pretty good with it. Now, I'm not playing crucible. I don't want to play it in its current state. To me, it's just boring and just stupid. However, whenever there was a guy using nlb in trials over the weekend, it was annoying as fuk. Use whatever you want. Just saying.
