PvP is the most played part of the game between content updates and weapon balance patches have very little impact on PvE. There has yet to be a balance patch that's made it harder for me to complete raids, nightfalls etc.

 • I'd like a source on that first statement. The other statement isn't worth arguing as it's completely anecdotal.

 • You are full of BS my friend. Balance updates do effect the fun of PVE and PVE has many more players.

 • I play both and have never found balance patches to meaningfully impact PvE, that's not bullshit. Also like I said to the other guy who has yet to provide one, source?

 • So adjustments to say the perk high caliber rounds haven't affected your gameplay at all? So you not causing staggers to Hive, Siva fallen, Taken, and Vex don't affect you? How bout only having one rocket in the chamber for the truth and having to use a synthesis to refill it if none is lying around? There are numbers of aspects pvp focused patches affect the pve side of things, there's no need to link you a source, look at the patch notes and adjustments throughout the last few years, heck ask other players. Whether favourably or not with certain weapons, armor abilities, and perks, the game is connected, it affects the gameplay. Sorry pal.

 • Who uses Truth in PvE? I said it hasn't meaningfully effected PvE as in it hasn't felt anymore difficult and that isn't what I was asking for a source for. I said pvp is the most played part of the game between content updates and you claimed that isn't true, but it is.

 • Destiny playtime statistics show otherwise on a margin of nearly 5 to 1.

 • Destiny tracker weekly statistics.

 • Where's the link to these supposed weekly stats that include PvE? So far as I can tell the only PvE stats destiny tracker publishes is yesterday's daily player population of PvE and PvP players which doesn't tell you what the most played part of the game is as anybody who played any PvE or PvP activity will count towards each of these population totals no matter how much time they spent in each activity, so a PvP player who does the daily before playing crucible counts towards both totals and a PvE player who plays 30 mins of patrol counts the same as somebody who played crucible for 5+ hours.

 • That's just one of the tough aspects of recording statistics of the community here, by the same logic, you could also argue that a PvE player that logs one PvP match for the daily rewards also is incorrectly counted. Unfortunately we can only use the data we are given. For weekly statistics you can only extrapolate from the daily ones, or record based on the weekly "peaks" being Tuesday and Friday. Regardless of how you look at it in a given day though, the total margin of PvE players still remains higher, by your statement alone if we assumed to double count for both groups, you'd still have about 300k unaccounted for. I personally belive there's a better way to do this, but I lack the time and resources that a website like DT has to develop these.

 • You are right that we have very little stats to go on for PvE as sites like Destiny Tracker only seem to share the total number of players per day who played PvE activities, without extrapolating how many of those also played PvP or how many hours they spent playing. So all those numbers tell us is that there are more players who play PvE only than there are that play PvP only, which is not the same as saying it's the most played activity. One piece of information we DO know though is that according to Activision as of May 2016 there were 30 million players in Destiny and that the average play time was 100 hours, which is a big number for a lot of games, but in Destiny this is nothing, for instance I have over 1600 hours in Destiny which is kind of scary, and I've spent more time in the Crucible than any other activity and you have over 1300 hours, most of which has been spent raiding, which is a good example of a sub-sect of PvE players who spend a lot of hours playing this game, but only 42% of the population has ever completed a raid at all and that number drops significantly when looking at specific raids, so if the average player has spent a total of 100 hours in the game and most players have never completed a raid, one of the most time consuming of PvE activities that has the longest shelf life between the infrequent content updates post year one, and few casual players play PvP at all, then that would explain why there are more daily PvE players, even if more time is spent playing PvP than any other activity, again between content updates as this definitely shifts anytime there is an expansion or new PvE content.

 • Yeah nothing on destinytracker supports that statement.
