Why isn't the Warsat event on Mars fixed?
Normally I wouldn't even care but I've got the Firewall quest line active and need something that drops after a Warsat public event on Mars. In theory. In reality that never seems to happen. I used various event trackers (which work fine for other events) and every time the event should launch I see Taken spawn. Or there is a kill enemy event. But not the Warsat event. I'm also zig zagging across Mars but can't find this particular event anywhere.
The internet tells me that I'm not the first to experience this so I wonder why it doesn't get fixed. Does anybody know?

Anyone wanna party up to try and find a Warsat on Mars? Hit me up on Xbox Live. My gamertag is Norman Red Cap. Gotta get this B.S. done. Been sitting on this for like a month now. Ridiculous...

I believe its a Bungie troll personally. It rarely spawns if you need it. Bungie logic...

2 RepliesThanks for your replies everybody! You were right that this event does indeed happen. Today about one hour before the daily reset I experienced it twice. First in the Scablands but that was brutal due to the many ultras in the fort who had line of sight to me. (no other player was there) Then I tried my luck in The Barrens and was successful. I could also hand over the core before the reset so that I could try the last step a few minutes later. And I thought getting the event on Mars was difficult! Could it be that the strike for this quest arc is the hardest strike available? I guess this has to wait until I'm //400.

It's not broken, just inconsistent. Always has been.

Mars has 3 areas where Warsats can drop. They are the Barrens (where you spawn in patrol), the Scablands (area down the right path from the Barrens), and the Buried City (down the path behind the Vex conflux in the Scablands). These areas form a pretty nice and tight triangle. Further, all of these areas have other events that can spawn (kill target, plus enemy moving against each other in the Barrens). If you need, download the destiny public event app or go to their website to see when the next event should start and where.

Hey Aleph, Just so you know, Taken don't count as a public event. So if that does spawn, make sure you're staying in the area for longer. As mentioned, it's all just RNG. You'll have to keep doing it until one falls. It's not broken. If you're on Xbox One, I can try to help you out by waiting in certain areas.

2 RepliesNothing to fix. The event is purely rng. Get 2 others and each goto a zone a warsat can drop and wait. Hopefully one appears and you race to that zone
