Hey all first post on here since after the rise of iron update and I hope everyone finds it to be of some help. PvP Axion bolt Blink Shatter (paired with others for max reduction of next super) Soul rip (paired for max reduction of next super) Arcane spirit Annihilate Ancestral order Embrace the void (for benefit of sustain with equipment pairings) Gear of note Ophidian aspect (perhaps one of the greatest exotics released with the rise of iron update, gives faster reload for all weapons and the improved energy drain stacks very nicely with the perk of soul rip to give you higher output while also allowing for cd reduction of next super, not to mention the snap discharge and momentum transfer on top of that) With this build I like to run with a hand cannon for those quick shots paired to take enemies down quickly with melee and Axion seeker I also find it effective to use a solar sniper rifle to take out those pesky gunslingers and hammer titans without ever having to get close enough for them to use it I find this build to be most effective at mid to long range engages as shotguners are a dime a dozen in this new meta, although a quicker draw with this build will be very rewarding with this build in close engages as most of the perks are stacked to take them out quickly before they can deal that insanely boosted shotgun damage on you. I hope people were able to find this of use as this is my first post so eager to hear any feedback!

  • Very helpful. What is it with the solar sniper thing though? Solar weapons take down solar classes quicker?

  • Excellent question. The main logic for this is based solely on an individuals chest armor, which when I'm stating these facts, I'm stating them on the basis of the majority rather than as a whole. When an individual selects there chest armor, it's more common to find that the person selects one which gives them the maximum boost. For example, when a gunslinger selects there chest piece, they will select one with the perk that gives them increased armor when using a solar class. Like I said not everyone selects one that goes perfectly with there gear set, but for those who do, you can see why that little extra stat boost could become problematic for players going up against them.

But what's with the weapon burn then? I mean you could use void or arc just as effectively can't you?

  • Solar weapons will cause more base damage against a solar defense ;)
