I tried it maybe 2 or 3 times in Y1. Now you have to realize something. Just because Bungie SAYS it is not for casual players.. doesn't mean it isn't. What Bungie is actually saying is "We created this, and instead of optimizing it we will leave it shitty and claim it is only for the people who overlook how shitty it is." Just so happens that the people overlooking the shit don't care about the shit because they are adept at playing in shitty conditions. And combine that with the egos of young 20-somethings who consider streaming a viable long term source of income, well.. you've created a wall Bungie. A wall of narcissists that Trump could take notes from. TLDR - a created effect. Basically if you complain about trials, people who disagree put you in the casual box and your argument is rendered null by the community. This effectively allows Bungie to straight up ignore player feedback, as it appears the community of "real" trials players is content.

  • I was with you until the Trump comment. Let's leave politics out of it bud.

Same...I was right there with him until the trump comment. So close. He makes the distinction that sweaty trials players make by calling you a casual and therefore invalidating your every word. I agree, but that is not the conservative side of an argument. That is a leftist (femisist) democrat tool to invalidate a persons statements because they cannot create a valid argument. Trump is against this type of single-thought process where by you don't have to make a valid argument, just call them a racist, a bigot or a xenophobe and then the argument is over and you opinion means nothing.

  • Well seeing as I'd rather not, you either deal with it or move along. Either way I think we'll both be okay.

  • Trump is a Narcissist. His politics have nothing to do with it. The man hung up on the leader of one of our closest allies.

  • Wars are started for reasons we will never know. They will never admit and nothing of what we see on TV or news.

  • Not that complicated. Nations go to war for same individual men fight and kill one another. Minus women of course. Pride. Power. Wealth. Status. Identity. Self-defense. Resources. Just like individual men, nations will lie to themselves and others over what thereal reason is.

  • No. you never know what's going on in the highest places of the elites, where media isn't even allowed due the science of vibrational frequencies. There's People that control the planet and each resource needed to productively sustain life and the information disseminated. We know what they tell us or have the balls to risk life will find out Kennedy is dead, and its no because he helped black people. In fact, we will never know why. We know what they tell us.

  •
And combine that with the egos of young 20-somethings who consider streaming a viable long term source of incomr
Seems like it's working so far, isn't it? Viewer counts are just rising for some people. Alot of people had the same doubts about youtube but now plenty of them use it as their full time job and there are many millionaires who got there from YouTube.

  • It isn't a reliable source of long term income, at all.

  • Not for everybody, but certainly for anyone who puts out good content and builds a big following. It's practically an industry of it's own and there are multiple companies and individuals out there built around YouTube success for over a decade now.

  • If people keep watching then clearly it is, your being proven wrong as we speak. People have been solely living off twitch income for awhile now.

  • Call me back when one if those streamers retires and moves to Florida after 40 years on Twitch. People can't survive 3 years on Twitch, let alone 40. That's what he means by "long term source of income". Twitch is a great source of income when you're young and you make some money for yourself. Back in my day we used to deliver newspapers or work at McDonald's. People like Mtashed get this. That guy is working on his college degree and will have a safety net if this youtube/twitch thing doesn't wirk out. However, I still don't see anyone earning their retirement fund with twitch money.

  • you don't know that There are retirement plans that an individual can contribute to. There are responsible people on this planet who contribute from every source of income the have. We have to understand your method or Idea isn't always some one else method or Idea. Twitch just came around, lets wait forty years to see who does best with this

  • Long term... so the same can be said for... Actors, Musicians, Athletes, etc etc... every industry like that is take what you can... WHILE you can... and then move on. Of course there will always be break out stars that come make serious bank during their time. and i can almost garantee, in the future, this WILL be a source of the entertainment world and there will be TONS of jobs created by the..."Hey... lets watch people play video games"

  • What do you mean? Check the twitch stats for the top 10 Dota 2 / LoL streamers. They stream 4 or 5 days a week and make over 100k a year, more than alot of people working normal jobs. Obviously it doesn't work out for everyone, that's why they make a safety net. I know alot of people who would love to stream or make videos well past retirement age, you can kick back and relax well playing games and having conversations with fans. Just like that 60 year old man who's retired and streams on twitch who got a pretty big following (I don't remember his name)

  • You don't have a set hourly wage.. you never know what you're walking away with. Not. Reliable. Not saying you can't make money, but I don't think the term "long term" is making sense to you. You cannot possibly plan your life around income from Twitch.

  • If you become partnered with a company they'll pay you monthly based off how much you promote their products, so if you have one of their ads every hour or a small ad running in the corner you can make a set amount of money every month. Plus the tips are just that, a tip. Like your working as a waiter or valet
