Guess what everyone? Shotguns in videogames and irl are designed to do massive amounts of damage at close to medium range, (and by medium I mean people use them to hunt from easily 15 to 20 meters or yards away.)
Guess what? Sniper rifles in videogames and irl are designed to do massive amounts of damage from very long ranges without the target ever knowing they were being targeted.
Stop whining, play the game. Respect all tools of the trade. Have fun. It's just a game.
Edit: Games are not irl, I get it. The reason I said irl is that I find it acceptable that shotguns can be effective at a longer range than many people think, based upon the humble amount of knowledge I have from living in a rural area. I am not a firearms expert or a military veteran. Just a guy that grew up around them.

12 RepliesGuess what?! IRL: *Shotguns are a very poor choice for killing hard targets (targets that are armored) since neither shot nor slugs have a good penetration chance. *There is no such thing as a "sniper rifle." They're called "sniper's rifles" and it's any rifle a sniper so chooses to use. *A sniper's rifle shoots the same calibers as other rifles. The gun is no more accurate than the shooter is capable of producing. *You also don't know much about firearms in actuality, do you?!
