This sword needs a bit of a damage boost. It uses 10 sword ammo and does damage below the 3 swords you get from the taken king exotic quest. Even though it is easily obtainable, it should be able to preform close to the other swords, so that's why I think It deserves an increase in damage, or even on ammo capacity. This is just my opinion about it.

So bungie is going to buff the sword :D I'm so hyped to use it again!

Cozmo has no problem responding to easy weapon post. This might be above his level of experience with Destiny
-
It's been a while since I scrapped mine for an exotic shard, but it is a decent sword.

This weapon is an exotic shard lol. It would be nice if each heavy attact didnt cancel out the dot effects from the other. Also it uses way more ammo that the other swords. It needs to use less heavy ammy per heavy attack.
-
Considering it's old school tech, I'm fine with it not being as powerful as the "New" swords. If there were to be a change to it, I would say either a cost reduction in ammo or a buff to the special attack damage. Eh, who knows? Maybe in a few weeks we'll all be running it.

Edited by The_Moustache: 1/18/2017 9:51:24 PMPersonally, I think they should just change the special attack into a more defensive or supportive one instead of just another attack.
-
BUMP I have mentioned it in the past. People gave me shit . Lol. Ammo consumption needs to be 5 per heavy, and it needs to he reworked/buffed....
-
After using it a few times, I think that it's an awesome sword, but again uses too much ammo.
-
It's not meant to out perform them Dps. It's a debuffer and good for knocking back enemies. Look at and list all it's capabilities before saying it's weak.

Hopefully bungie buffs the YWH in the next patch...

Lord Saladin: Here Guardian. I thought Shaxx had given out all our swords but there was one left in the back that nobody wanted. I give you the Young Wolves Howl! Its kind of like a Great Value brand Raze-Lighter. Now run along and go stick it in your vault next to the other quest exotics so that someday if you ever dismantle your raze-ligher in an drunken accident and need a solar sword you can use this.

Bumpity bump

Young wolf's disappointment
-
Just... Yes
-
I mean it has dot and gives critical so I see why but I would like a buff
-
Screw that just change it to a hammer. Did anyone else not have a clue what or why they even received it after the quests? So dumb to go through the campaigns using a hammer then it's like 'here's a random shitty sword'
-
imo they should give it an unique archtype. more defense for example. all swords have the same archtype and only the rt ability makes them different. increase defense while wearing the sword and reduce ammo consumption while blocking. reduce rt ability ammo consumption to 6 or 7 and remove the knockback on the rt ability. the rt ability is pointless if it pushes the enemy so far away you cant even follow up with another hit. if it at least gets a defense boost the low dmg wouldnt be so bad. regardless if we "earned" it or not. with the current light level and heavy weapons the exotic sword quest isnt even difficult anymore.
-
I've suggested this before. It should have honestly been a whole new "Archetype" of sword rather than just be a weaker, less efficient clone of the current exotic swords. Given that it's a GUARDIAN made sword, Crafted by the IRON lords, and sports a solid design compared to the Willbreaker exotic swords (seriously, look at how the blade is connected to the hilt on Dark Drinker, the thing should break under it's own weight). This thing in all honestly should have been a sword built for DEFENSE. Keep it's lowered impact, maybe lower it's speed but is gifted with a slightly higher defense bonus, and the blocking "Radius" is notably increased so that you can defend allies as well, perhaps also including in the exotic perk a bit about slight reduction to ammo consumed while blocking (between 10 to 25% should be good). And keeping it's heavy attack the way it it, costly. Turning the sword into a true support weapon, rather than mostly useless like it is now. Side subject for those who claim it should't be better because it's "easier to get".
It's easy to get your hands on Gjallarhorn, which despite the nerfs, is still the best PvE launcher in the game and one of the best DPS weapons in the game. Necrochasm is one of the hardest exotics to get in the game. RNG filled, grindy quest, and is it the best auto rifle? nope. Even forgetting about the fact it's not infusable, bringing it into crucible against other common Auto's of it's ilk usually leads to a bad time. When Dreg's Promise came out, it was a difficult weapon to obtain. Yet it remained one of the most useless exotics in the game for a very long time. And before you throw them in my face. Yes, Spindle is a bit of a challenge to get, but also takes 20 minutes, and isn't THAT hard. No, the swords are not that hard to get. Time gates, boring grinds, and for the most part easy challenges IS basically just "Giving it to you". Sleeper and Outbreak Prime are the game's actually challenging guns to get, but mostly only the latter. My POINT is the following. Ease of acquisition =/= power. We've got difficult to obtain weapons that are Between "meh" and aweful. We've got Easy to obtain weapons being stupidly power. And we've got everything in between. An exotic SHOULD be worth it's slot. If not, it shouldn't be exotic.
Debuffing a strong enemy for the team is it's focus though
-
Edited by LittleLight: 1/17/2017 4:03:23 PMIt is easy to get your hands on the sword. It should not be equally strong as swords that you get from the quests, but it should receive a buff, only in its ammo consumption.

Its a smaller Iron axe.
