Shocking that the most overrated game of the year got the most rewards. Don't get me wrong it's not bad but it's just a mp shooter with nothing beyond mp in the game.
I think TitanFall 2 deserved more. To me it's easily the best game of the year.

And what is TF? Isn't it a multiplayer shooter? I know, it has a very good campaign. But it's not THAT good.

Overwatch didnt really do anything new or unique. Slight tweaks on a game type that has been commonplace. It doesnt offer much mode variety or heroes. Saying a good game is one thing. Goty? Nah. Face it most of the game credit goes to WHO it came from rather than WHAT it was.

I'll give you that yes it is primarily a mp shooter but like you said it does have a campaign and I think it was one of the best fps campaigns in a while. The puddle aspects were great and the story was entertaining. It's also different even with most games having increased movement it still feels different and just plain better. Not to mention the titans. It feels unique and different where as overwatch is just another class bases shooter with no story and limited maps. There's a thousand class based shooters that all do the same thing. Am i saying overwatch is bad? No I'm just saying for what it is it's highly overrated.

Thousands of shooters that all do the same thing, really? Where are they? But it's good that you mentioned unique and different, because it's exactly what Overwatch is. 10x more than Titanfall and I am not saying that TF is bad, it's great. But OW wins clearly in my book.

How is it unique? It's the same as TF2 very similar to battlebourne and the same or similar to any other class based shooters out there. With Titanfall you get a game that nothing else is really similar to. More games have tried to copy its advanced movement system but non have come close. Titanfall created that kind of game play and it's still easily the king and the most unique of any advanced movement fps out there. Also Titans no game has a mechanic like that. It's truly unique where overwatch is just another class based shooter the same as all that have come before. It's overrated plain and simple and I don't think it deserves all the rewards it got. I'm also willing to bet if Blizzard hadn't made overwatch it wouldn't have half as popular.

For example, if you have the worlds best tasting chocolate, it wouldn't matter to someone who doesn't like chocolate. Doesn't mean it's not quality. So it's better to judge on quantity, unless the games are extremely similar.

Or, if you need to arm an army of 1000, would you rather 100 quality guns for 1k each, or 1000 for 100 each? I mean, I could go on and on, but you get the picture. As for gaming, I suppose the most recent example is cod. They offer two full games for the same price as many other shooters.

Sure. So is OW. But OW is unique and different, while CoD is just a remaster of a 10 year old hit + shitty new one that offers nothing new and gets alot of hate even from hardcore CoD fans.
