Guns should have interchangable perks

Having a particular gun is pointless if what you are really after is a particular perk set. Oh you got imago loop? It's got Icarus and exhumed? Worthless. Remember when fatebringer was a thing? You were the envy of all if you had it because of its rock solid perks. But even if they brought it back it would be irrelevant because the odds of getting the original fatebringer roll are about a million to one. Please make legendaries legendary again by getting rid of random stat rolls. (A good compromise may be too keep gunsmith load-outs random) Edit: I changed the title from "Get rid of random rolls on legendaries" to better reflect the direction of the conversation. After some discussion I think an even better route would be to make perks a purchasable thing. That way you don't find yourself grinding the game over and over for a different iteration of the same weapon. Instead you could grind for marks to make that awesome gun you love unique to you. I know it would make my time in the game more meaningful knowing that my time is going toward developing weapons for myself that I actually want. Perhaps sell them through Xur or make 3 available per week through the gunsmith. Make them expensive, perhaps a week worth of legendary marks for just one. That might mean that the drop rate for legendaries would need to be reduced, but when they are mostly breakdown fodder, who cares? I trash about 99.5% of all legendaries that come my way, how about you?

  • Idk about you but I bet my version of a god roll is different than yours. If the guns perks were the same then it'd be boring

    • No. Faitbringer was a raid drop and those should have set perks. On normal legendarys it would destroy all of the variety. No gun would feel unique. People would just find the best gun and then nobody would use anything else. With random perks it mixes it up and that is a good thing. I think they should even add a random part modifiers (like in borderlands) so when you get a gun you would look what parts does it have and then what perks it has.

        • They just need to bring back reforging. Anything with Icarus or Exhumed automatically becomes parts. Nobody wants junk perks.

          • what if you had to run a quest to get a perk that you could swap on the gun you had.. if you want exhumed, you must do this, want range finder you must do this.. to many shit perks on the weapons we have that just have no real good uses.. in theory many may e good ideas but, in reality we don't use them and they have little function.

              • The reason the fatebringer was so amazing was because at the time it was hard to get, only being able to snag one from running the raid and getting lucky, hes the problem with removing random perk rolls, not everyone plays the same so if you think Handcannon-A needs rifled barrel and rifled barrel i might prefer a hand cannon reinforced barrel and luck in the chamber. If they were to remove random rolls on legendaries they would have to make legendary weapons much harder to get...
