Learn how to shoot straight! For those of us who can shoot straight, First Curse is perfection, the epitome of what a pure hand cannon should be.
I am putting the finishing touches to a new montage, taken over the last couple of weeks. Until then, here is one I made earlier...

Objectively, the high impact Hand Cannon Variant is overall not in a good spot. FC is only in a slightly better place than the rest of it's archetype is because of the unusually high aim assist. Otherwise FC versus the vendor Palindrome? FC loses most of the time because of it's 1/1.5 TTK to the Palindrome's 0.87/1.33

The problem with TTK are that they are synthetic, and bear very little resemblance to the shooter, or the conditions present at the time of execution. In an ideal world, where both shooters have equal precision, equal reactions, and both are in optimal range, TTK matters. In PvP, and in unpredictable situations, TTK is a statistic that means nothing. For instance, A Guardian that chooses the optimal kill method (one head, and two body) would be slower, than a Guardian that can triple tap, regardless of the TTK of the hand cannons that they are using. Instinctively aiming for the head, is a far leaner process than hoping to hit the head. This is where the aim assist of First Curse matters. Where as faster firing guns lack accuracy, what First Curse lacks in speed, it gains in accuracy. If you intend to spam the trigger, TTK will have some bearing, however in a precision gunfight, TTK means nothing.
