They nerfed it because it's cancer in PvP. I'd get shot once with that thing and it would sap half my health, which is a clear advantage, despite Bungie's overhyped "balance" system in the PvP. Even with the nerf, I still believe it should be at least disabled in PvP combat. Having the already-intense damage of a hand cannon plus a life drain buff makes it ridiculous. I can have the skill for hit-and-runs, but oh, a single hit with that thing screws me over for whatever encounter I'll have with another opponent. The gun is cancer to its targets, literally.

  • Only two months for something that's still relevant? Yes, I'm aware. I checked it. It doesn't change my point. I don't see why the age of the post even matters.

  • Well it's past the point of conversation. We stopped discussing this because we stopped caring about discussing it. Therefore you are wasting your breath and opinion

It's not a waste of breath or opinion. Mainly because I'm speaking through text and not using my breath to catalyze vocal communication. And because your post was a near-top Google result for researching the game, only being two months old. A two-month-old YouTube comment becomes irrelevant because most comments are for immediate reaction and criticism. A forum, however, can remain relevant for up to a year. Depending on the post, it can continually provide useful information to inquisitive users, as well as invoke critical thought through debate. Most of the time, top posts that are meant for debate can go on for over a year. Steam has many of these, mainly because they're thriving and not abusive to consumers. I've heard multiple opinions of the Thorn recently--complaints about its nerf, which means people are still thinking about it and thus becomes relevant. This means your post contains issues that are still current and discussed, and is open for reasonable reply. So instead of being passive-aggressive and dismissive towards someone for trying to make thoughtful conversation, you could at least politely relay your disinterest in the topic. I would've just said, "Alright," and left. Now we're on a completely off-topic argument about why your post is relevant. TL;DR: Your post talks about things that are still a problem to people, so it's not nearly outdated. Thanks for being snide about it, though.
