I have accidentally deleted all of my armor materials twice now while using motes of light to upgrade gear. I'm usually rapidly switching back and forth to see how close I am to having the item fully upgraded so as to not use more motes than necessary and twice now I've accidentally deleted my armor materials because they usually sit right next to the motes. But I think if the speed at which the armor materials are discarded were slowed down to the same speed as discarding bounties then this wouldn't be an issue because I usually realize right as it's too late because they discard so much. Like I said I've done this twice now, first time I lost over 1200 armor materials and then last night I lost over 500, so a little help would be appreciated.
