Looking for unconventional Fallout 4 builds.

I'm looking for a build for Fallout 4 that plays differently to most others. Oh, and I'd prefer it if the build didn't use any DLC perks, as I don't own any of the DLC.

  • I like this setup below. It offers a very different playstyle and I find it to be super entertaining as it's almost impossible NOT to roleplay with this setup. Spec: 10 Char - Intimidation 3, Animal Friend 3, Wasteland Whisperer 3, Inspirational 2, Local Leader 2, Cap Collector 2, Lone Wanderer 3 6 Str - Strong Back 4 4 Per - Locksmith 3 4 Agi - Gunslinger 5, Mr. Sandman 3 (tho, AGI 7 for Ninja is a great option!!) 4 Int - Gun Nut 4, Hacker 3 2 Lck - Fortune Finder 4, Scrounger 3 Ok, if you can't tell from the perks, this setup is all about Manipulation and includes a source of income. Combat-wise, this spec relies on making your enemies , your allies and having them battle each other. Doesn't matter if they are Deathclaws, Bears, Gunners, Synths or Ghouls. Just point your gun at 'em, and have them join your army. Inspiration helps so that you don't damage them and they don't damage you. Weapon-wise, this spec is styled around Pistols. Specifically silenced pistols....I got the Deliverer pretty early so my build was based around increasing damage with that gun and Gun Nut for the Workshop upgrades. I changed out to that gun you get from Eddie Winter because it had bonus limb damage. With Intimidation and Wasteland Wanderer and Animal Friend just point your gun at the attacker and that's that. Fighting say 2 deathclaws, you can INSTANTLY turn the battle completely on it's head by having one death claw attack the other, OR crippiling the legs and killing em both slowly, OR you could tame them both and have em take out some super mutants or an entire town. Income, flows from Cap Collector and Scrounger supplying caps and ammo and Local Leader providing sales perks. Selling the surplus ammo I've found provides me with all the caps I've needed thus far but I've included the Cap Collector as well because I think it would have made the lower levels a lot easier. Local Leader + Cap Collector + Scrounger are where the bulk of my caps come from. Basically, any problem you can't talk or manipulate your way out of, you shoot dead. Dogmeat works great for this tho I didn't include his perks here. I use Dogmeat, and with this setup, he simply grabs them, and I take out the legs so that I can kill an enemy at my leisure. Knowing you CAN simply grab a Deathclaw and incorporate it into any plan of attack opens up unlimited options. Entire synth facilities can be sent into complete mayhem. Enjoy!!
