  • I like how the quitting out penalty MIGHT help with the Noob quitting problem...however my friend lags out all the time and keeps getting banned, not cool. They need to fix that so if your connection is lost you don't get penalized for nothing.

  • Ok many things to address here: Nice update. I don't know why you justify elites being better than spartans in every halo campaign including the books spartans mow down countless elites no matter how cool their species is I find it unfair but it is also unfair that the friggin' tank spawns like 5 times in invasion way too cheap. grenade launcher is terrible. Too much going on wrong in generator defense three defenders and three generators is a pain there is no possible way to protect them all getting the spartans all scrambled, the spartans lock up the generators all the time so basically you kill a spartan after he locked up a generator then spawns and kills you while your waiting for the damn thing and spawning takes FOREVER. And camo shouldn't have radar jammer while your crouching or standing still. those are the ONLY problems I have found with this amazing beta nice job and Please think about what I said P.S. can you make an extermination mode all games are doing it I would really like to see how this effects halo.   • i still think the jumping is good, but the movement does need increasing. friendly fire is one of the big problems for gameplay i think. it is an unaddressed problem. it should be taken out at least for team objective games, stops people betraying for flag or oddball or a weapon. the armour lock is useful if you use it right and should have longer recharge time though. grenades could be toned down and the size though. instead of "grenade out" its "nuke out" damage should be lowered a bit and size should deffinently be reduced. also ive found you can regenerate shields in armour lock. this should not be the case, you should be the same health and shields you were on when you entered. cammo sucks with jammer, it has no practical use accept to screen ur teammates. it should be crouch and be invisible to radar even when shootin ur gun, or the radar should be left alone. i like the fact that armour abilities are kind of random. it means those nerds who play halo all time of 24/7 have a disadvatage, instead of always predicting what will happen, they will have to leave room for adjustment in case an armour ability comes into play. makes it easier for the people who play for fun and more even matches rather than always one sided. reach is more tactical and camping is not as much accpet with sniper. people in halo 3 always camped and in reach its less, again because they dont always win because of random armour abilities. i agree that the moving should be increased but the jumpin is fine. better than jumping over the moon. if you really annoyed witn it, sprint jump, JET PACK or simply adapt. if you cant adapt, u arnt really a true master at halo. grenades are overpowered but not as much as people think. they are only really overpowered because people cant move out of the way. either the speed increased or the grenades have a longer explosion time. they do need to be toned down a little in power though. they also need to be made smaller, not the size of nukes, but more a tiny wincy bit bigger than halo 3. those ones were too small. but if they were made a tiny tiny tiny bit bigger they would be fine. the warning tail is ok, but again, the size needs to be made smaller. the assault rilfe needs to have a little smaller reticle. i mean, whoes going to fire it in birsts. only works for longer range. med to short range u mine as well shot as fast as possible. so i think they need to be a little bit more accurate. the sprint could use half to one second extra using time or half to one second faster recharge time. it would make a hell of a difference and would make sprint a more effective ability. i think also that the focus rifle could be a bit more acurate and a little stronger, simply to make it a better long range weapon. otherwise its just a shotgun beam weapon. elites need to have a stronger shield to be more effective against shotgun and plasma weapons. this way it would be more better for eliets vsin spartans, especially on invasion where elites have a hard job. with invasion, the elite with the care should have overshields to make it harder for the spartans to kill. that way it would be much easier, because you cant fight back anyway. just mentioning this in case but the melee should be slower, maybe even a little slower that halo 3, to make it a more skillful thing to use rather than a spam. i like the halo 1 CE melee speed. it was slower that meaning a more skillful thing to use. the rank system is good but i think it should be a little more visible. sure i sometimes puts pressure on people but ive seen and played with generals on halo 3 and they were very bad. it should be seen more otherwise whats the point of rank. the credits are good. it like that idea. for some who dont like it, just dont worry about it. i like the idea better than having to work for achievemnts that are so hard to get and there is a limited number that you can get. i use the credits, and i look awesome. the social thing is a good idea but ineffective. when you want to find a person who is polite and a team player, it slows search too much and since you cant join a game in progress, it makes it so u just say i dont mind even when you do, jst to get a quick match. sorry bungie, but it is just not going to happen unless you can join a game in progress. a small thing is that you could show when youre close to finding a person, or whether you need to restart search or go into another playlist. something that could help with this is showing how many people are in the particular playlist, whether searching or playing. this way it could help choose a good playlist so you know around about how long you have to wait for a game, not waiting hoping to find someone when youre not going to anyway. this would be even more useful if you could join games in progress and find faster matches. i know i have stated that alot needs to be improved, but overall, reach is awesome and fast paced, (accept for the fact you cant move very fast, need to work on that) but is a great job bungie. i hope ive been help. edit: i really stress on the betrayin thing. BETRAYING IS HORRIBLE ESPECIALLY IN TEAM OBJECTIVE GAMES! WHEN I GET THE FLAG, I DO ALL THE HARD WORK AND SOMEONE BETRAYS ME TO GET THE CREDIT I DESERVE!!!!!! TAKE OUT BETRAYING FOR TEAM OBJECTIVE GAMES AT LEAST!!!! ITS HORRIBLE AND HAS NO USEFULNESS IN GAME AND IS SIMPLY A NUICIANCE. EITHER TAKE IT OUT OR PUT A BAN ON IT LIKE THE QUITTER BAN (good idea by the way) BE SERIOUSLY. TAKE OUT BETRAYING IN TEAM OBJECTIVE GAMES AT LEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OR AT LEAST MAKE IT LIKE THE QUITTER BAN. YOU KNOW BETRAY TOO MANY PEOPLE 1/2 AN HOUR BAN. TAKE IT OUT, ITS SOOOOOOO BAAD!!!!!!!! also to the booting system, it doesnt work!!! when i get betrayed in one flag its usually at the end of the round or game. i say get rid of betrayal or put something like a quitter ban on it is so people will stop betraying. the booting system doesnt work and alot of the time you get booted for accidental betrayals. the people betraying usually do it so they can beat the booting system, (not very hard) so i say, take it off for team objective games, as thats where it is the most prominant or put something like a quitter ban on it because the betrayal booting system doesnt work. im sorry but it needs to be taken out. no one likes it ,except those who betray, and it has been a real problem, in all halos. make reach the one to stop this betrayin thing. its really just a bad thing and should be taken out!!   • not always. playing as an elite my team sometimes won. its not easy though for the elites to win what with the lasers, snipers, and rockets but it is doable.

  • my main beef with the beta would have to be the respawn time. I've already chosen my class, i can see my team is in trouble but there's nothing I can do because i'm sitting there waiting for another (and i'm not exaggerating)5 to 8 seconds because of the stupid system. i dont betray but i feel as if i'm receiving the betrayer's penalty. i think this needs fixed.

  • my thoughts on the beta...first off armour abilities...sprint great perk...except when ur sprinting and jump,..you stay in sprint so it looks like a cartoon guy running in mid air,armour lock is about as balanced as it can be save for the shield regen during lock up..i agree you need to come out of armour lock the same way you went in. jet pack...its balanced in usage and movment..however im not to sure its fair that it recharges almost instantly after releasing the button.camo...im still undecided on...it does make it a pain in the arse that my teamates have to deal with a million buggers flying around on their radar when i use it,and i dont like the muffled sound when its engauged...now to the grenades...they are fine the explosion from a grenade anywhere near you should be a life changing event...i think there are to many of them..some of the smaller spaces on say sword base all you need to do is toss in a couple nades and boom..the room is filled with death..that would be fine if those two nades were the only two you had..then people would be more apt to save it for when they truly needed a nuclear cleansing.weapons,...the AR. is still a joke. but the DMR doesnt fire fast enough to do the BR. justice so we have to learn to take them apart with the AR. and finsh them with a pistol round to the nugget. the needler tracks to far ive been shot at with it and hid behind a wall or other obsticle only to explode as the needles followed me.the needle rifle, just a pink and purple DMR. with explodeing rounds..i likes...pisols need a few more rounds in the clip, health packs arent as plentiful on the maps..i remember halo ce.there where dozens of health packs strewn about an entire section of this ring world but on the maps in reach two or three on the entire map...and if a teamate has found it first ur screwed,the banshee on invasion is a joke..it feels like flying a house with thrusters and the banshee bomb to regular cannons is a pain to swap between,the warthog is balanced and awsome fun to drive again but i think it needs to be better armoured..it almost feels like a couple clips of DMR will cause it to assplode..the chain guns overheating it awesome it keeps the hog balanced..ghosts are almost exactly as i remember them in halo ce.awesome lightning graphics under them by the way..id make no changes to the ghost.now to the overall spartans..armour permutations are sick, hopefully more choices in the full game, the mechanics of the spartan however are in my opinion subpar...the normal speed of the spartan is to slow..hell the odst moved faster in firefight...i thought these men and women where bio enhanced with speed, agility, and perception? not to mention strength? the books said that just to wear this armour the spartans had to be super human..yet when i take off, i feel like a two year old at top speed...elites are to weak..the books made them sound like brute chieftans on crack, most of the elites in the halo fiction, where creatures that id want to take on one at a time,even with a group of spartans...8 elites where a nightmare..the beta makes them out to be little more than a 2v1 challenge, the evade is freakin awesome however there are only three elite abilities..evade jetpack and camo..hmmm were the elites not the first to use the overshield in halo ce?...all in all im going to love reach..i have to its a halo game made by the peeps that invented halo..and to say i wont play halo 4 when 343 pops it out would be a lie..i'll play halo until they completely ruin it..but ive got a septagon tat and im sure the next game ya'll put out will stomp some arse to so..im down for wutever bungie, bring it on

  • amazing game some problems i found as in SvE deathmatch or whatever the elites seem to be better the rolling is indeed far better then sprint sprint is good for defending or getting places quick rolling also gets u places pretty quick and u can become practically unstopable after u get good at rooling in gun fights i think what should happin is the spartens reguler class is a rolling class and they have a extra sprint class but the defualt is roll because basically the roll elite that rolls good will beat a sparten some times even if the sparten is alot better another thing is the DMR is not as good as the aliens plasma or needle rifle whatever it is bungie needs to equal these things out and those are the only problems i found besides the ocasional rocket shoot when ur near a wall and it hits a invisable berrie and blows ur face off

  • first off the beta is awesome but there are things that need to be fixed the grenades are huge and they are overpowered thy do way to much damage also i know the elite shields come back like uber fast but i think its a little to fast one time i was shooting an elite and he hid so i rushed him threw a grenade around the corner while i was like 10 feet away with sprint and his shields were all the way back by the time i was around the corner then he just hit me twice and i died witch brings me to melees they are to fast people will charge you and if you cant get their entire shield before they melee you are screwed also in 1 flag ctf on sowrdbase the offensive team can get to the flag as fast as the defensive team the offense starting position should be farther from the flag the focus rifle needs to be able to get a head shot or at least extra damage people can get behind cover before the focus rifle can kill them it can not be a true sniper as long as it can't get head shots it also needs to be more accurate also when you stick someone then they go into armor lock it should still kill armor lock is over powered it should not give them there shields back and sticks need to kill them i can understand when its on the ground it does nothing to them but when you stick them they need to die even in armor lock and the invisibility there should be no radar jammier all it does is warn the people there is someone invisible it makes it useless because in order to be truly invisible you have to move slow enough that you are not on radar anyway and the sound going out when invisible whats with that at least make it so it only deafens only the invisible one and that any guest can still here what is going on his screen that's all i have right now

Please improve the system.

  • [b]Hey, this is to everyone that thinks having a quit ban is the worst idea ever.[/b] For one, it does suck to have a teammate quit, especially when its a tough match anyway and the one guy wusses out making a victory all but impossible; that makes everyone on the losing team want to take the cowards way out and quit too. I for one am against quitting; no matter how impossible the odds, strange things do happen. For two, people who are habitual quitters deserve such a ban; this is what I dislike in CoD:MW2 multiplayer. Rage quitters who are on the losing team, can't win, or want to be a douche-bag deserve punishment. But then again CoD is full of modders anyway. And if you want to stop modding, quitting isn't going to do it, that just makes you look as bad. If that modder needs to be banned, Bungie and Microsoft need a good full match full of details and evidence, then just file a few complaints against said modder. And last but not least, having half the team quit isn't the end of the match. In fact it can be a memorable time to show some skill and win despite all odds, sometimes making good a friend in the process. Also, would it be possible for Reach to implement a true 'best of x-number of rounds' system in matchmaking? i.e. if a gametype is initially set for 5 total rounds, and Team A wins the first 3 rounds, the match should be over at that point since it is mathematically impossible for Team B to win the match. I know the technology to do this must exist somewhere...
