  • We'll see how the quitting continues once the full game is released and players can use all the matchmaking options. I can't be the only person who wants the ability to set map / variant preferences. When playing Halo 3 Slayer games, I saw more people quitting or AFK on Team Sniper & Shotty Sniper than any other variant. The only exception was on Narrows where it was mostly shotgun rush unless the other team were MLG players that sniped you for blinking, how they could see your eyes through the visor is beyond me. I'd prefer to wait an extra couple minutes than get stuck in an unfair match. If setting my GamerZone to Family would exclude you from being matched against Pro & Underground that would be a simple workaround, but GamerZone still isn't being taken into account in matchmaking or given very low weighting. Before going the quit ban route it's probably worth checking the player's quit metrics to see what map/variant they're quitting out of first. It's also a good way to see what map/variants players like or dislike. Another worthwhile option would be having RFQ (Reasons For Quitting) when you quit so players can select their reason although certain options would have a bigger impact on the quit probation/ban and others would be exemptions but only Bungie would know which option(s) if used repetitiously would yield the banhammer. It's a little more work for Bungie to implement but in the end it would better the community. I would be incredibly surprised if this was the first time RFQ was thought up. I'm digging Stosh with his "big honking space gun" er um, 1-shot-team-kill-blaster.

  • No no no, Network Test 1 estuvo muy mal: 1: La red estuvo muy lenta. 2: Los jugadores debieron ser de 5 o 6 jugadores por equipo. 3: Las armas se deberian desplegar por todo el campo.   • The pic in slot 3 of my file share has the strange text above the flag but it was from stock pile not ctf. I don't think I saved the film but if I did I will let someone know. Had a great time playing the beta even though the disconnect issue was enough to drive me mad. It now seems as is if it has been addressed. The network test game type was so laggy that it was impossible to enjoy. Seriously, over half of a second of lag from the time I press the melee or jump button before my character reacts. I found it impossible to kill any one. Had it not had such a lag issue, it seems like it would have been a lot of fun and I hope the final game has modes like it or similar besides just matchmaking and co-op campaign. I managed to buy all of the armor pieces after about 240 or so wins in all the various game types. I was hoping I would have more time before the beta was over to see if I could break it and I was hoping that there would be custom games like there was with the halo 3 beta.   • I'm having problems with Network Test 1 and invisible walls. It seems like every time I shoot a Spartan Laser near cover, its blocked by an invisible barrier. Very frustrating. [Edited on 05.15.2010 10:33 AM PDT]

  • I had the lag you're talking about in the first four games or so of generator defense. It improves!!! Stick with it... it's like halo 3, it "learns" your connection.

  • Give the juggernaut a countdown timer!! If he doesn't kill someone in, say, 20 seconds, reset the juggernaut! Yellow lift on sword base. 'nuff said. Beef the assault rifle! I NEVER use it unless I'm playing with friends I KNOW I can work with. I'm not saying you should DOUBLE the damage... but using the entire magazine to kill ONE guy? come on.

  • im now scared to play generator deffence because last time i did, i blew up the generator and some fool who clearly saw it was going to explode stood next to it, blew up and died, then 1 second before the game ended he booted me out of the game, thus also banning me for 15 minutes

  • I am not a fan of the scoring method for this playlist, where you get 1 point for every member of your team. I lost a game 3-2 because someone on my team quit in the beginning. We did the same amount of work but with less people, which I think deserves bonus points, but instead we got 1 less. [Edited on 05.15.2010 6:43 PM PDT]

  • i liked playing the new update it was fun but also it would be waaay better if they actually improved the ranking system because how can you actually set people up with others in the right ranking because howmany games you won or lost dosenot mean anything your tema could be carying you, and also they should bring back clan mathces and 1 v.s. 1. :D just saying.

  • This is great, I love how well the beta is working and how fast too. I wonder if they're going to put "forge" mode in the beta, I dig that stuff, but doubt it. Every day I'm finding it harder to approach glitches. Keep up the work of awe!

  • this beta is beast! But i think Bungie should limit the amount, and time you can use the generator lockdown! In conclusion the reach beta is the -blam!- that makes the world tilt and turn!   • Awesome update as ever. I was just wondering if anyone knows if the beta let's you know if you're currently banned or not? I got booted (or my router blammed up) twice yesterday and since then I've not been able to play the beta.I get stuck on the matchmaking screen while it searches for a match until my connection eventually times out. I hope I'm not bannerised as i never intentionally quit. I'm the guy that stays 'till the end dying valiantly even when the rest of my team has quit! Anyone shed any light on my predicament? Cheers peeps.

  • I really hope that the beta will have theater for a while longer. I just bought a capture card on the internet for this, since I wanted to make my first montage on reach. And the beta has made me picky about all other games (COD) So I'll be really out of place when this is all complete.

  • So, I posted this last week, but do different armor pieces affect in-game play? You know, the "lightweight" and "stealth-designed" shoulder pieces, ect. Also, does erasing our stats also include our armor that we worked so many long hours to get? Come on, give us SOMETHING when the final game comes out. Starting from scratch again would SUCK!   • there is only one thing i have decided i am disapointed with from the beta, the way the armour is, the shoulders stick out from the arm and lave a gam which looks rubbish, are amazingly huge which looks odd. also they seem to look plain rubbish yes im talking about EOD!!! also the helmets, the police one looks streched and tall, the starter one looks short and fat, and you cant mix and match the addons for the helmets, that would be awsum!!! the chests... are ok i gues nothing special, just please include some smaller shoulders that actualy look good if nothing else. apart from that its been an amazing beta and im sorry too see it go. afterthought, being able to change your visor colour = superawsumnesss, too bad it wont happen ;{
