a lot of primaries should've never been touched in the first place. a primary that is actually strong and performs as a primary should is now seen as "OP"

  • Because a primary that you believe is strong is actually too fast of a TTK. Bungie has been famous for high TTK's, the recent nerfs over the last year only prove it. If you want fast kills, then do Close Quarter shotgun stuff If you want Slow kills, then play your way. The fact that you guys don't understand that is confusing. Shooting someone from as far away as you can shouldn't get you easy kills. Nor should hiding behind a teammate letting him get shot while you sneak in primary kills. Not to mention player's obsession with firing a sniper shot then switching weapons. Ridiculous. Go pay COD

  • Handicap wants someone to hold is hand because he can't play smart and needs a slower time to kill to react accordingly

  • of course you're hiding your account so I can't see if you're even good at crucible or even play enough of it TTK isn't everything and especially in real combat. you're not gonna land perfect last word shots or pulse rifle shots every time. you're not gonna land head shots consistently with the no land so go away with that TTK bullshit and it'll never be on par with CoD's TTK.
Not to mention player's obsession with firing a sniper shot then switching weapons.
this also has been done in halo for years so what is your point?
Shooting someone from as far away as you can shouldn't get you easy kills.
hmm so using a scout rifle or a sniper in their intended range shouldn't grant you a kill?
Nor should hiding behind a teammate letting him get shot while you sneak in primary kills.
you mean swapping out with a teammate that is 1 shot so you can help him instead of letting him die or team shotting unlike you who pushed 2 people? yeah. judging by what you have said I can tell you aren't even good at crucible. probably aren't good at other FPS games either.

  • No, the nerfs to primary weapons made it so that shotgun rushers have too easy of a time closing the gap. I can use say a Suros Regime, back in Y1 I'd melt the shotgun rusher's face off before he could close the gap even with the stupid OP blink back then. Now I'd have to get extremely lucky to not just die to his shotgun or trade.

  • See then you're pointing out the more important problem. Closing the gap Why is this happening so fast? Maybe nerf movement speed?

  • That would make the game slow and boring. It's already becoming slower and more boring because people camp more. Even shotgunners will camp, the last 2 weeks in Trials proved me that. I think primaries should be buffed. Not back to y1 state as everything was ridiculous back then but at least somewhat close. Make slow RoF auto's viable again because they're just garbage atm. Remove bloom for handcannons but give a drastic damage decrease over range etc.

  • I agree with you on auto rifles. All of a sudden Red Death simply didn't matter anymore. More interesting maybe try forcing 3 kills before you get special ammo? Or hell, do like Halo, and throw the specials on the ground

  • I've never played Halo so I don't know if that is a good idea or not, I can't judge. However in general primaries just feel to weak right now. I get that they want a slow TTK and that's fine I suppose but they could just come out and say that. Instead they said they want to adjust primaries around team shooting which in my opinion is just a horrible way to balance things. Team shooting will always result in a very low TTK. However from my experience most encounters are 1v1 and nothing is more frustrating then shooting at someone and them just running away from the gunfight because your weapon just isn't good enough to kill them before they round the corner.

  • You're so right Honestly the last time I felt like I had a primary that was 'dangerous' Was my Saterienne Rapier way back in year 1. Thing felt like it hit like a beast, just crushed opponents. Halo is good, but people race for the specials, and the specials are pretty OP if the wrong team gets them, but that's how it is. More interesting, why aren't we seeing more things like overshields?

  • I don't know why, I'm thinking they don't have ideas how to implement more overshields maybe? right now it's all melee or for defender titans shotgun based. Which is cool. As for a "dangerous" primary. I loved the suros back in y1, unfortunately the nerf was so bad I don't use it anymore. It's 1 of my all time favorite guns along with Red Death and Hawkmoon. I don't use any of them anymore. I'm getting my Clever Dragon today and outside of that I'll be using Palindrome, Blind Perdition and I think that's about it. Those weapons don't even feel that great to me. Clever Dragon seems to leave them 1-shot a lot of the time allowing them to get away. I miss my y1 Hawkmoon as well, they nerfed lucky bullets. And now the handcannon that was known for it's range is worse than 90% of the legendary HC's used atm. The nerf to aggressive balistics doesn't help Hawkmoon out either, that gave it the consistent 2-shot. I used it a few games in y3 because I got the black and gold ornament for it and even with the lucky bullet I wasn't consistently 2-shotting people. Now I like the slow TTK from time to time, it's fantastic that I'm able to fight back when someone gets the first shot or the other way around. But atm it's just boring. I'm glad I have other games to play.

  • You definitely show experience of the pvp that's for sure. I can't say the same personally. I dropped out when Hard Raid had 311 items. To me that was the point where Bungie said -blam!- it. Have you played Payday2? I love it. Silent Heists are like raids too, it makes it fun

I've never even heard of that game. And yeah I play PvP quite a lot. I'm sitting at a 1.99 or 2kd right now iirc, but I probably have around 1500 hours played in PvP. As for raids well I play them until they become boring and useless to me.

  • Yeah I remember at the end of year 1 (forever 29btw) I needed Iron Banner gear to hit 30. By the time Year 1 was done I had some pretty decent stats, but then year 2 came and the raids became more fun, blah blah. I recommend checking it out. It's a shooter based Bank/Heist game where you can do missions loud or quiet. It doesn't quite have the full universe theme that Destiny has, but it's entertaining nonetheless
