I'm just going to say, your idea for sleeper simulant just makes an already OP weapon into the most insanely overpowered thing you could ever have. Fire into a group of enemies and the entire room is dead in one shot. You would need some kind of balance, like, for example; one shot per magazine, maximum of 3 rounds total. Not to mention it would kill you to even use the dang thing with all of those ricocheting lasers all over the place.

Maybe reduce the damage from the new lasers, that way they may not evaporate the whole room guardian included.

I personally dont think it would be too crazy. Unless you line up a bunch of Thralls, the lasers will be kept to a minimum. Sleeper is generally meant to deal bosses or deal large amounts of damage in one go. This makes Sleeper a little better at dealing with adds, I think a one round magazine or an increased charge time would suffice.
