We stood around and stared at the void where the Court of Oryx once sat. Everyone was gathered in the back, "making a plan". They didn't have a plan... they barely knew they would be here. I had the plan, but stood at the edge of the hallway, looking into the abyss. "Why didn't you tell me?" Dakota asked as he walked up behind me. I half turned to him then looked back into the pit. I crossed my arms and leaned against a pillar, "I didn't want to get you involved... My plan was to help Phantom fight the enemy, kill them, kill Phantom, then be home in time for dinner..." I turned around and headed for the team. "But, now that y'all are here, might as well finish the job." "What's the plan, Alan?" Blake asked as Dakota and I sat in the dirt. All eyes were trained on me. (I guess they were. Everyone was wearing helmets) "I don't have a plan. I'm making this up as I go along..." I said. Blake and James straightened their backs in shock. "Hey, y'all followed me here! I had this under control!" I snapped. "Take it easy, Alan... We're trying to help," Dakota said reassuringly. I took deep breaths multiple times. "Now, where do we go?" He asked. "There is a rupture in a nearby room..." I glanced to Dakota for a second. "It was the one we took to face Oryx, if you remember that. There, we can find these new Hive 'Twins', as they're called," I looked to the rest of the team. "So, this is... We're raiding the Dreadnought!" Kourtney clapped her hands together. "...Yeah. The second raid of the Dreadnought," Blake dusted off his armor, allowing it to shine better. "First Oryx, now these Shattered Suns..." Dakota got up and stretched his legs. "Let's get moving... No telling what these guys got planned." We all hopped up and made our way to the Mausoleum. We stepped into the new room. Once we exited the hallway, a burning support beam fell and blocked our exit. I began sweating under my armor, all the fire everywhere made this place a sauna. "Is anyone else hot?" I asked. Everyone nodded. "Let's just get this over..." Dakota led the way to the portal. We jumped up onto the walkway, and the rupture lit up with an eerie green. "This can't be good..." Another Shattered Sun knight stepped through the portal. I started backing up behind the team, and they followed. The knight punched the ground, causing us all to get thrown back. I pushed myself up and watched the knight as it spawned a fiery vestige at its feet. I helped Kourtney up and we got ready for a fight. "I got this!" Morin yelled. He jumped up and threw a hammer at the knight. The Darkblade's shields just absorbed the hammer. We stood in shock and watched. Morin threw more hammers, but the knight didn't even flinch. It raised up the massive boomer and shot Morin. The titan flew through the air and hit a wall. Slowly, he stood back up but was stumbling around. "Okay, that s***... that hurts," Morin fell back to the ground. "I'm going to wait here..." I threw a solar grenade at the knight's foot. It looked at the tiny explosive and stomped it out. "Solar ain't cuttin' it!" I yelled as I dodged the barrage of bullets. James threw a flashbang at the knight. It exploded and the knight stepped off of the fiery ring. "That did it!" Dakota yelled. "He's immune to Solar damage!" We all took our primary weapons-- kinetic damage-- and fired at the knight. He tried to shoot at us, but he couldn't focus. The knight stepped off of the ring and fell to a knee. "Shoot him! Shoot him!" I yelled. We shot at the knight with everything in our armory. "We got this!" Blake cheered. The knight stood back up, holding his gut, and casted fire around the area. Fire scorched the land where we stood. "Uh oh!... Get off of the floor! Get up!!" I yelled as I jumped onto a small pillar. Everyone jumped to safety, but Kourtney's cloak caught on fire. She tried to put it out, but she fell off of the pillar and into the fire. "KOURTNEY!!!" I yelled. "Don't worry, Alan, I got her," Monica said as she flew from the fire. "Focus on the task at hand!" Dakota yelled. I turned back to the fight. The knight lobbed a bolt of starfire at me, I quickly dodged it, but another shot hit me out of the air. James caught my arm and precariously swung me over the fire. "S***, Alan! How much do you weigh?!" He threw me to another pillar. I gained my balance, "Shut up!" I yelled as I shot the knight. We all did. The knight raised his arm in front of his face and fell off of the vestige. His shields dropped and we opened fire. The knight stumbled to his feet then tried to aim the boomer. James fired a rocket that exploded in his chest. The knight fell to his hands and knees, and all its energy collected in his chest. "Uh, oh..." I said. "Get to the portal!!" I screamed. Everyone ran for the portal, but I turned around and ran to Monica. I gathered Light into my hand and let the ghost collect it. Monica resurrected Kourtney, and I quickly grabbed her hand and ran her to the rupture. I could sense the knight getting ready to explode! I shoved Kourtney through the portal, then BANG!!
