The 88/8 tier of ARs is the current meta in the AR world. That's 88 rate of fire, 8 impact. My Righteous VII is a beast. The sad part about ARs is the high-impact tier sucks. However, Bungie doesn't want another "Suros" phase, so I expect them to suck for a while.
The only real fun with high-impacts ARs is using focused fire. That has some merit to it.

The raid auto is amazing right now and I have a very well rolled Answering Chord that shreds in the crucible. The 88/8 autos definitely feel the best right now, and they've always been my favorite. The Haakon's Hatchet is one of my favorite weapons.
