I would say bring it back, except black hammer should remain black spindle as that would be an OP secondary for today's terms

What if they changed the perk to perfectionist? It's similar but more balanced

Perfectionist sucks if I wanted that I could use stillpeircer, just make it so that black hammer drops and it can be ascended with a an exotic shard to make it year 2 damage and become black spindle

Okaaaay, I mean yeah maybe but what if it had a special built in version of triple/double? You know, the buffed triple tap? Or maybe black spindle could draw one or two rounds from reserve, but the other bullet is produced from thin air so it's kind of like the old hammer

Thats a really good idea, now if pve was as tough as it was back in the old times, I would agree rebuff all the good weapons, but pve isn't as hard and so certain weapons shouldn't be as good, it no longer takes 3 golden gun shots to kill a hallowed knight you know what I mean?

Yeah, I do, I feel like supers were kinda underpowered in that sense but I do miss my old PVE experience where it was more straight up dps based rather than mechanics (which are nice sometimes)... Good old skolas, straight forward, challenging, always a threat, satisfying to kill, elemental primaries... All that good stuff, also you had less people to keep track of! The stupid mechanics require everybody to each do a simple task in the newer stuff (mainly kings fall) which felt really frustrating when people couldn't even do that... I like the new raid, I just think the final boss should have more than some damn shanks with him

Yeah insane mechanics get annoying, atheon is probable as crazy as it should have been, Kings Fall was WAAAAAY too tedious

Yeah kings fall was the reason I had to start threatening to kick people on lfg... Is it that hard to sit on a damn circle? I hate relying on other peoples abilities to perform a stupid task that should be simple

Nah. They need to do this with Spindle vs. Black Hammer Black Hammer - will work as spindle works now: upon three precision hits in a row, it refills your magazine from reserve. Spindle: when you get 3 precision hits in a row, it refills your magazine with free rounds. The functions of Pre-nerf Hammer and current Spindle will be switched so that the legendary perk is matched with the legendary gun and the exotic perk is matched with the exotic gun. to make chaining precision hits more difficult with spindle, they can decrease stability to make it kick like Icebreaker.

There was two main DPs weapons before they got nerfed, gjallahorn and black hammer, now bring one back in nerfed and there will be no need for the other (in this case (gjallahorn) so being exotic wouldn't chamge much

Having Spindle be an exotic though means you need to make a choice of which DPS machine you want to use. In Y1 you could have BOTH. In Y2, you must choose one or the other. So I see no reason why Spindle shouldn't get the Hammer Upgrade and Hammer can just move forward and function like spindle does now. G-horn should never have been nerfed. It solved nothing and it just made the game have one less good weapon to chase after. This game is a loot-based grinder and we need endgame, game-changing loot to chase after.

Yes but if black spindle got the old white nail perk, and gjallahorn didn't get its damage back, then spindle would be the obvious choice, there would be no need for both on dps
