Destiny Year 1
So I've been watching a lot of old destiny beta videos and the original destiny trailers, and I'm sure a lot of people can agree that Year One, with all its problems, was an amazing time for a lot of us.
So if and when Destiny 2 is released, Bungie should just come out with something called "Destiny: Classic Edition" Which picks up where we left off before the update that came right before TTK.
No more updates after that, but keep keep the live things like Trials, and IB.
I know the chances are slim, but a lot of people would love it just to be able to re-live the memories of playing VOG, Crota, Or POE and it being a challenge again.
Of course its not for everyone since a lot of people don't like Destiny Y1, but for the select few that do it would be amazing and a lot of fun.
So please Bungie at least consider it.

2 RepliesThe Alpha and beta was probably the best time I had with this game. Year one content was 10/10 Year 2 was 7/10 And this years was 5/10 (😜In my opinion) In the beta taking on the spider tank at light level 12 on the Sepkis Prime strike would take an hour or so. And every bit of it was heart racing... And the Vision ✌️️ The Vision of Confluence 💣💥 Best Gun Ever The original LDR with 6 in the mag 🤓 And the VoG 😜🎸 Best raid ever ❗️ Killing the Templar without letting him Teleport ⁉️ Nobody does that now 🕹 Here's hoping Destiny 2 can recapture the magic ✌️️

3 RepliesRose tinted goggles. 3 hours into relic iron farming you'd be begging to go back how it is now. Year one was good but the game has improved as it's evolved and in its current state respects players time more than it ever has before. Both in making it quicker to level up and making it possible to level up doing what you enjoy.

Yeah lots of camping, cheesing and no infusion system for gear with massive gaps in power between each light level, and almost everybody used the same weapons. Genius. 🙄

I've been thinking and when it almost comes time for destiny 2 they should boost every weapon and armor piece to current light along with raids and everything else and just let us have fun. Remove all the crutches take off the training wheels and let us just destroy destiny 1

3 RepliesEven as a year two I'd buy that. I've heard about loads of year one stuff that I wish I'd had a chance to experience. Hell, I'm even trying to get a raid team together to get me through the vog and Crota for the first time (although that's pretty difficult because the rewards for those having done it so often are by all accounts negligible).

Year 1 might've been an unbalanced mess, but at least it was fun.

I played year 1 and 2 on ps3 then switched to xbone. And never did I get the feeling I got from my first ever atheon completion or my gjallerhorn drop... Or[spoiler]getting motes from a legendary engram[/spoiler]

If they want this game to be competitive then going back to the fast-pace and ttk of year 1 is the first step

I joined near the end of house of wolves. Got to lv32 Full New Monarchy gear with a thorn and sniper as my weapon. Exotics where a challenge to get as i could only earn 9 strange coins a week, sometimes less because i had to hope that i could run the damn strike for that set of coins as i never bought any DLC. Getting any Exotic gun was tedious, getting better items was something that took months to do. And when i did get a gun. GOOD LORD was i happy. I had to solo the Thorn quest because i was never able to play on my ps4 (never had one at the time) and so i could not add people to help me. I had things to do, goals to reach. If i shot some one i would hit them (DAMN BLOOM WHY) and kill them. The TTK was the first 2nd raid i did. I hated it, 100% mechanics with no chance of breathing room. I can't hold a team together if one person messes up too much. That is why i never bothered with the raid in TTK. The WOTM is similar to the VoG. Your light makes bosses weep as you demolish them while still requiring skill to progress each phase of the boss. I just hope destiny 2 gives the same feeling.

I'm still holding on to hope that the spring update will provide updated old raids. With all the reskins and making us walk thru levels backwards as "new" content I would have thought they would RE do the old raids as well. I would like to see those raids updated and have at least the armor be able to infuse and bring forward.I know weapons like fatebringer will never come back and if it did it would be nerfed into oblivion like thorn.
