If you do quests then you can get quite a few quests, also each character can get one treasure of the lost by finishing quests as well. It is not perfect, but there does not seem to be any other option.

yes, and for people who don't have enough time to cater to three characters, they are left with one treasure, and we all know what drops from the first boxes one gets ^^ yes, as of now there doesn't seem to be a better system, though that is my point :/
