Can we actually earn armor ornaments, or was the ROI advertising just another opportunity to sell more silver? Ornaments were a big selling point for Rise of Iron and they should be readily available to earn without spending more money. Instead we get one stupid treasure box per week as opposed to the three we got previously. I have yet to get a Days of Iron ornament from the treasure box. I paid $30 for the DLC which was supposed to include the ornaments. Hiding them behind a pay wall is bullshit.

EDIT: To all the geniuses that cant read: I'm talking about Days of Iron armor ornaments. It will take 30+ weeks to fully upgrade my characters without paying for them. That is bullshit.

Bump.

If you thought that making a peice of armor have fire on It was a huge selling point for a $30 expansion then I'm worried for you. These cosmetic items dont do anything for you at all, just look cool. They never said they would be common. I figured they would be rare and they are. You can't just have everything handed to you ffs. They've already made exotics not rare and legendarys drop from literally everything to the point to where nothing is rare anymore.
-
It would be nice if reaching the rank to unlock them in the book (20? 22?) would provide unlimited Days of Iron ornaments

Normally I don't agree with posts of this nature... But today it is a different story... Rise of iron was marketed as ornaments being part of the game economy, not something you would have to buy! Secondly, you need to also have silver dust to put the ornament on your equipment... Bungie needs to be more transparent about these sort of cosmetic features. Not make them seem like they are part of the game and earned yet you eventually need to spend money. Just be clear about it bungie, path of exile have a ton of cosmetic things you can purchase. But none of that takes away from the main game. I'd like that level of transparency.

When you grow up, you'll learn patience.

I've had 2 drop from the weekly packages so far
-
You can earn 1 every week if you don't want to pay, so they're not hidden behind a paywall.
-
It's some shit for sure. The fact that they make certain pieces take 2 or 3 ornaments to activate is shameful.
-
Poster boy of rise of iron was this flaming armor and trials armor. BUNGIE conveniently and intentionally doesn't show that it takes silver to apply the ornaments and its next to impossible to acquire enough days of iron ornaments for one character set in any reasonable amount of time.
-
You get one from Weekly Heroic Strike and From Level 41 Prison Of Elders btw
-
A huge selling point for Rise of Iron were flaming ornaments but it seems no one has them unless they spent extra money. -blam!-ed up how Bungie made a selling point an extra cost

This week I finally got my first one and went to use it on my helmet, but nope the helmet requires 2 days of iron ornaments. I won't even be able to complete one full set before next September, let alone on all characters.

People gotta realize the reason people make games is to make money, its called a job, a BUSINESS. Its simple, if you your getting pissy about it costing money, don't buy it. But lets be honest, 80% of you ranters are still going to buy silver. Thats one of the many ways Bungie makes money. I don't get why people are acting like putting a price on in-game stuff is such a crime! It's only a crime when buying in game stuff gives you an advantage, everything in the Eververse is for mere enjoyment of the game and to make it "fun". Buy it if you want, don't if you don't want to.
-
Who uses the iron lord armour?
-
U get one a week for free.
-
The days of iron ornaments are ugly as balls
-
Why are you even mentioning Festival of the Lost? Festival of the Lost Treasure boxes and Radiant Treasures are totally unrelated, so if this is yet another post about Days of Iron ornament drop rates from radiant treasures, you should definitely make that more clear, and just accept that you'll get 52 chances to get some this year.
-
Upon finishing the quest chain we get a box so instead of one box we get three
-
I thought i read somewhere that the bad juju ornaments are exclusive to this event and won't be back until next year.
-
I'd like to think you at least have a chance to get it outside of the event. The Red Death ones are floating around out there as well.
-
They will be earnable after the festival in the same way you earn all the others radiant treasures
-
You can get the Bad Juju ornaments through radiant treasures after FOTL ends
