They have recently been heading towards the futuristic pathway, but in that category of sci-fi shooters, there are a bunch of big competitors (i.e. Borderlands, Destiny, Overwatch, etc).
Should they continue along that path of futuristic shooters? Or stick to what they have done since the start pretty much?
Only problem with it not being set in the past is the creative opportunity, there's barely any of it. I've seen someone mention getting put into alternate reality wars, but that would get old fast.
If you were the head of Activision, what would you do with the Call Of Duty series and why?

The gameplay was on point. I usually don't go for 3rd person shooters, but MW2 felt good. Edit Alt-history wars could be cool. Imagine a game set after Hitler won the war... The possibilities... But chances are the story would drag out and get stale as well.
