This is the only buff post with down votes, i think that speaks for itself.
Personally snipers are in a good spot. If you can't develop the skills to snipe, then use something else.
If you're sniping in game modes that aren't good for sniping... the problem isn't shotguns it's you.
If you're sniping on Drifter, you're gonna get shotgunned. That's not a sniper map.
So pick up a fusion, close your mouth, and soldier on. I am terrible at the crucible, and don't have your imaginary problem.

I snipe rather well. however there is an undeniable and longstanding shotty meta. snipers are great in pubs or against terrible players. but against skilled players they are trash.

If they are trash against skilled players doesn't that just mean you are not good at sniping?

no. ask yourself why a vast Majority of streamers who were definitely great snipers put down their snipers and picked up shotguns?? hm?

You just destroyed and points you had by mentioning streamers. Streamers are by nature self serving. If something isn't going their way they cry. Plus many of them were aggressive sniping which isn't going to be effective anymore.
