HTC Vive is without a doubt the best vr headset. It can do anything the rift can do, but the rift cannot do everything the Vive can do.

The only problems I see with the Vive are the fact that you need to dedicate an entire room to it and that most games (as far as I understand) need to be played standing up and moving around. I also see a lot of reviews saying that the hype dies and it just becomes something people bring out to show their friends.

Edited by Martiis: 10/21/2016 7:16:43 PMNo, I don't have it yet. Waiting for tax season, but have demoed both multiple times. The Vive is by far my favorite, not only because I find it more engaging, but also because it is completely open source. This is the reason there are already beta versions of games such as Skyrim and GTA running on it. Edit, there are also betas of existing games on rift as well. I don't mean to make it sound like there aren't. It's just that Valve's Vive will undoubtedly have better gaming, modding, and dev support than Facebook's Rift; and the open source nature of Vive is really telling.

You can play any stationary game on the Vive as well. Setting it up in a room is no different than setting up a surround sound system.

Interesting, I had no idea you could play stationary on the Vive. I might do a bit more research on it before I make up my mind. Do you have the Vive ? If so, how long have you had it and do you still use it regularly?
